Food: I've eaten at Yhe Trolly Stop several times and am never disappointed in the taste of their food. My personal favourite is the "Jive Turkey. " Hoagie like sub, with delicious Turkey, melted cheese, lettuce, tomato and optional bacon. (You MUST try their cookies!)Service: the Employees at the Trolly Stop are very laid back. I love their vegan options. I only had one bad experience and the young lady the too out order tried to treat me like an idiot and said she knows the difference between vegan and regular cheese. The young man that man the pizza said she didn't put vegan in the ticket and that it was regular cheese. She later apologize when she realized the only idiot was her. My girlfriend and I absolutely love this place. The food is terrific, they have a good beer selection, the building is spacious and clean and well designed. I love the local stuff they sell there too. Do yourself a favor and get one of those candles. One of the best I've ever had. The thing that sets this place apart is the staff and service. They are extremely polite, helpful, knowledgeable, informative, and just good at what they do. They seem to really enjoy what they do. It makes the customer experience that much more enjoyable. I just moved to Memphis. The town I moved from was known for its great restaurants, with people traveling for miles to eat there. What was missing though, was a deli that served sandwiches with meats you'd heard of, cheeses you could pronounce, and prices you would want to pay for lunch.The Trolley Stop isn't a deli, per se, but it is a fun, simple (in a good way) place with really good sandwiches at a great price. Don't be put off by the decor when you walk in. The tables are covered in plastic, the floor is plain, stained, painted concrete, and the projector that was being used to show the baseball game was at least ten years old (it looked really bad). However, the staff is friendly and helpful and the sandwiches, oh so good.The sandwiches have some fun names (my favorite is the Funky Chicken), and yes since we're in the south, they have sweet tea, which is pretty good.Definitely recommended! Fun, Funky, Friendly atmosphere in the heart of the medical center area of Memphis. The food is mix of pizza, burgers, salads, sandwiches and appetizers all with a unique and flavorful twist. Tried the fried pickles, delicious and the burgers, wonderful. The have a large dinning area even though it seems small from the street. They also sell some lovely gift items from local artists.
