Overall awesome facility and staff!I needed to do a product shoot for a brand I am working with and after every other gym in the area ignoring me or telling me "no", Triton said Yes! Upon visiting the gym for the first time, I was impressed with the facility and everything they had to offer. Indoors they have a wide variety of MMA gear and 2 large mats with plenty of space to train. Outside, the terf/ grass was a nice open space with a variety of cross fit gear. They also have weight lifting gear i.e. benches, racks, plenty of weights (dumbbells, barbells, plates, etc.) which is all well taken care of. Overall, I liked the atmosphere of the gym. No egos, just friendly staff and members there to get a good workout in! I would highly recommend checking out Triton! More...

The best gym I have ever been a part of! Theres an awesome space for outdoor weight training, an open turf area, and space inside for classes (pre-covid times). The instructors are so knowledgeable and helpful too. Since joining John Marsh has built up my strength, endurance, and confidence more than I could have imagined, but the community here has to be the best thing. I've made so many great friends and memories inside and outside of the gym. I highly recommend checking out Triton gym if you haven't already! More...

I absolutely LOVE this place! I may have ended up here by chance (my previous gym merged with Triton back in 2019), but I could not be happier. It is very no frills, but the workouts are amazing and they have a variety of equipment for all types of exercise. I really love the HIIT and weight lifting classes, and for those interested, they offer a lot of kickboxing/MMA classes as well. The trainers are all very approachable, knowledgeable, willing to work with you to achieve your goals, and work around any injuries you have. They are creative and provide real time feedback on form/technique, but make sure to challenge you to max capacity. Triton really kicked my butt into shape and I am proud of how far I've come with their help.Triton is sooo much more than a gym though, it is a community and a family. Everyone cares about one another and I consider so many people there to be close friends. This place is a South Bay gem and what's better than working out in the sun with your friends? More...

Definitely avoid this place! Nobody wears masks and the owner John Marsh doesn't do anything at all to provide a safe environment against the coronavirus. I was the only one wearing a mask and John actually went so far as to calling me out on it in a negative way. He prefers to have a small indoor wrestling room that's closed and filled with sweating people. Most nights, it gets so fogged up from the sweat, you can't see inside and people come out steaming. With the current coronavirus situation, this is a huge red flag. John himself is also a real piece of work. Ran into several issues with the membership. He complained I came in during peak hours, complained I filmed myself, complained I wore a mask, complained I used too much weight because he doesn't have very many weights, and then proceeded to try to intimidate me by getting in my face. Keep in mind, most membership are around $40 a $50. John was charging me $50 to use his equipment plus an additional $100 activation fee. He is VERY lacking in equipment. There are four racks but only three bars, a cardio machine that has a slippery belt problem that makes you trip, and the ground is uneven as well as the racks. His leg press machine is lopsided to the right and all TWO benches have tape all over trying to cover up all the wear and tear. This was what he charging me to use for $50. Even worse, the price went up so now you have to pay over $100 as a new member to use the discredit equipment. John Marsh is a business owner who instead of imparting wisdom, reverted to anger and intimidation. Very sad words couldn't be communicated and violence was his first resort. It's ironic that a self defense coach is so quick to violence. I As a PAYING CUSTOMER, who wants to work out at a gym where the owner himself is still a hot head opting for violence instead of proper adult communication? Very disappointed! More...

I can't say enough amazing things about this gym. After one free trial class, I was hooked. I love the class variety (I go to HIIT, Kickboxing, & Weight Training), the variety in class schedules, but mostly the sense of community. I have been attending classes for about a year now, and can see my progress improve thanks to the hands on instructors that always go above and beyond. The other gym-goers have become great friends outside of the gym and I always leave feeling challenged. The owner John is the perfect combination of encouraging and pushing, and one of the nicest guys you will ever meet. I genuinely wake up every morning excited to go to the gym and see what that day's class has in store. I've been working out at Triton for about 5 months and now that I have experienced it for some time, I think it's time for a review. John, the owner, has done an amazing job at hiring & training some of the best local instructors to lead classes. What I like about Triton is that everyone here seems to be very serious about their workouts and when you see other people working so hard, it inspires you to do the same, and that's why I keep getting stronger :) The indoor/outdoor mix of boxing, martial arts, yoga, circuit training and free weights make it a comprehensive gym. Its less traditional "rough around the edges" appeal and the knowledge, professionalism and support of the clients & staff makes everyone, of all fitness levels, feel welcome. The community that John has established here at Triton is a rare find in the Southbay. I would seriously say that I've taken some of the most intense/challenging classes here over the last few months and it's where I feel most comfortable. More...

I've wanted to take private boxing classes for a long time. Finally pulled the trigger and booked a session with John. After the first session I bought a 10 pack and am already on the second pack! The sessions are very challenging but with johns coaching and practice I can see myself getting a little better every time. On top of learning boxing which is the main goal the work out itself is intense! I've done private training at equinox and other gyms and with certainty a one hour boxing session with John takes the cake on cardio, core, resistance and intensity. Despite a lot of travel I manage to get 4-5 sessions per month. If I didn't travel I would absolutely be doing 2x week. Looking forward to continuing to learn and get better at Triton. I paid $26 for a 1-month unlimited youth membership for my son through Groupon. As I wanted to know more information about the dates/times, etc. of the location, I called to find out more info but the phone was NEVER answered. I literally called 10 times different days/times but it always went to voicemail. So, eventually I had to just walk in because I couldn't reach anyone by phone. The day I went, I was taking care of my niece also. So, when I checked in, I told the girl at the front that I had my niece and my sister was on her way who would also be signing her up through the Groupon. The girl signed up my son with my Groupon and then signed in my niece (for a free class since my sister wasn't there yet). There was a lot of kids there, maybe like 40 or more? I asked the girl about how the class worked with so many kids. She explained that they would rotate from being outside with instruction to the kickboxing bags and then floor mats. Ok, cool. So, they gathered up all the kids and the instructor had them all outside doing some martial arts moves for like 10 minutes. My sister arrived shortly after and watched for a few minutes. She then received a call that she needed to pick up her other kid and had to leave and asked me to take the kids home. Ok, this will all come together soon.

So, after the 10 minutes outside, they gathered all the kids for a raffle. Apparently, they earn tickets and have a raffle (I don't know how often). So, for the remainder of the class was the kids sitting around a circle for the raffle. The instructors were nice enough to give our kids some tickets and they actually ended up winning a prize each. My point is, however, that I paid for martial arts lessons and instead they just sat around for prizes and candy. I'm sure the kids enjoy it but I can't say I'd be very happy if that happened while I'm paying a monthly fee for instruction.

So, my niece ended up liking the place, my son not so much. But since they were going to be together, it was going to be fun. The next day, however, my sister received a call to ask if she would be interested in the membership. She said she would think about it after the month membership trial from Groupon but the lady that called her told her that she could no longer do a Groupon since it was only for first time members and since she attended the free class, then she could not use the Groupon.

1st: They should have told me that they were only going to do a raffle that day and I would have come back the following week.
2nd: I was pretty upset that I told the lady that my sister was going to use a Groupon but asked first if my niece could just sit in the class while we waited.
3rd: How are they going to tell my sister that she already tried the class when there was no class!?
4th: There was no class.
5th: Too many kids.
6th: I asked Groupon for a refund explaining that I did not receive a class that day but they refused. Booo Groupon!
7th: I never went back and there went my $26. So annoyed!
8th: My niece who actually liked the class and my sister was even thinking of having her teenage boy join also were totally turned off by the experience. So, they lost even more business there.
9th: They don't answer the phone!!

I'm sorry. I'm hoping my experience was not the norm but it was my experience.
