Last year the owner/chef came out on a busy night to greet everyone and was so personable. I was looking forward to that this time because it was my husband's first time on his birthday and am ever so proud of this Jamaican chef I wanted to show him off to my husband. Although it was a slow night infact just our table the chef/owner did not come out at all. The server was a little slow. She was trying very hard to be nice. The food presentation was lovely as ever my husband enjoyed his steamed fish my rasta pasta was just was ok too much sauce. I would still recommend. Totally insane! Everything was done to perfection!* Staff - friendly and attentive - 5 Stars! ****** Beers - I LOVE my beer cold. The bottle was served super cold. I was then offered an iced mug. It was so cold, that after I tried it I drank the rest from the bottle.- 5 Stars! ****** Plantain + Dip - Sweet & hot, perfectly crisp plantain - 5 Stars! ****** Dinner - Yes, there's a wait, but what are you waiting for... The food came piping hot, both of our meals. (How often does that not happen?!) The penne with jerk chicken must of had a half pound of pasta. (There was smoke coming out of that pasta dish 15 minutes later!) Perfectly cooked, a la dente, as good or better than any pasta dish in any Italian restaurant (and I am Italian.) My 1/4 jerk chicken came with a delicious broccoli side and the best mac & cheese ever! If nothing else, go for the mac & cheese. 6 Stars! ******--- I can go on and on, however, right from those beers, you knew they would execute to perfection on everything they did.--- Prices - A little pricey BUT - there's pricey & you get a little or you pay $16 for a hamburger. Here the portions were huge. So you can bring home 1/2 for lunch the next day. My husband and I went here last Friday at 6:00 for dinner. The food was delicious. The Mac & cheese were to die for; the tuna was cooked to perfection; and the carrot cake was scrumptious. The food here is so delicious and full of flavors. My 6 year old had the jerk chicken rolls and was in love asked if we could come back again. We ordered the coconut shrimp, scallops with coconut risotto, the shrimp and corn salad with an order of the mac & cheese that was legit the best one I've had in a while. The food here always meets my expectations and more! Chef Mo came out and greeted us, he and his staff even sang happy birthday to the birthday girl and gave her a delicious cheesecake beautifully detailed! FYI You will have to wait a bit - maybe more than expected, however it is totally worth the wait. Had the mahi with creamy palenta and it was delicious. My husband had the jerk chicken and said it was borderline almost too hot to enjoy, and he eats hot food all the time. The service was very good, the wait staff came over numerous times to see if we needed anything. It did seem to take a while to get our food though. I would give yourself some extra time for dinner here if you have to be somewhere after. Will definitely eat here again. More...

This place HANDS DOWN is the BEST Jamaican food I’ve ever had. We are new to the area and my husband and I have been trying to find a good Caribbean restaurant. We have been unsuccessful until now. Not only was the presentation beautifully executed, but the food literally melted in your mouth. My Husband had the Lamb and I had the jerk half chicken and we both noticed how the meat was not only flavorful, but juicy and cooked to perfection.
