He was quick to update our contract when we updated our guest count and walked through our venue with me to go over all of the details beforehand. When Peter first mentioned hiring a catering service for our marathon wedding weekend, I was extremely hesitant. In 32 years of life on this Earth, I've never been terribly impressed with food catered in for an event, especially wedding food. I finally caved and found Thompson's Catering of Winchester, Kentucky. I read all of the excellent reviews. I asked around respected friends and family and turns out, one of my longtime clients knows the owner personally and bragged them up! We bit the bullet. Michael Thompson and his crew are fantastic. They created a ton of options for us to select from and made the entire dinner gluten-free, as I have celiac disease. He didn’t charge extra, as many other caterers said hey would do, and he did some of the shopping himself to ensure the food was all safe. The servers were very friendly and helpful and cleanup was included! He followed up to ensure everything was as we’d hoped and to make sure I didn’t get sick. Can’t rave about them enough! More...

Thompson Catering catered our wedding. It was supposed to be an outdoor wedding and we were renting tents from them as well. The hurricane that devastated Texas came in the very weekend of our wedding. We had managed to find an indoor venue and Thompson's couldn't have been more gracious about the last minute change. The way the food was presented was absolutely stunning and it tasted every bit as good as it looked. Our guests all raved about the food and said it was the best wedding food they had ever eaten! All of the staff at the wedding were great and couldn't do enough for us. Thompson's made our wedding a success! If I ever have an occasion to cater again, there is no question it will be catered by Thompson Catering!! I recommend them wholeheartedly and without reservation!! More...

Thompson's did a fantastic job catering our daughter's wedding on Sept 9. We met Melissa at a bridal show and were hooked by the hot brown dip! She helped us create such a fun reception menu - everything from a build your own biscuit bar to a mini coney station (an ode to the groom). Our guests loved it! I have used Thompson Catering for special events at work from 50 people up to 100 people 6 or 7 times. From the first call to the time they came to pick up their equipment it was a pleasure working with them. All the lunches were very good. Often the people attending an event would commented on how good the food was and asked who catered. I remember getting notification of a special dietary need a few days before one of the events. I called to ask if it was too late. Thompson didn't even "blink and eye" and told me it would be taken care of. And it was. They were delivering coffee/tea and fruit for breakfast at 8 am every day. They were there at 7:45 am waiting on me. That's hard to find! More...

I had met and spoken to a few caterers before I contacted them, and once I found them it was such a great experience from beginning to end. Thompson's Catering is one of the best companies I've ever worked with! My company chose Thompson's Catering for our employee picnic.
Melissa was so easy to work with. She helped us plan every detail, from picking a perfect venue to getting the most out of our tight budget. She even worked with me right up to the last couple days before our picnic to make sure we had exactly what we needed to make it a success.
My co-workers and I arrived about 30 minutes early to set up some games we'd brought along. The Thompson's crew was already there setting up. They were very friendly, courteous and patient with us as we made some 'on the spot' decisions about timing, etc. They even offered to help us with set up of the games we'd brought! I've had nothing but compliments from my supervisors and co-workers regarding everything that Thompson's provided.
I truly appreciate the professionalism and courteous, friendly service from beginning to end. You guys are definitely on my list for any future events! Thank you!
