Myotherapy corrects pain issues through targeted trigger point release. It is not a feel good massage that only gives relief for a day or two. Myotherapy is corrective muscle therapy. Erase your pain for good!

I have had extreme pain for over a year now due to a stressful desk job and the constant tension in my shoulders and neck. I had to get massages weekly just to get temporary relief. I decided to give Jennifer a try and I am very happy to have done so. My first meeting with her she recommended that I commit to a certain amount of sessions, back to back, to get the full benefits. After the recommended sessions then we would re-evaluate if the treatment is actually working for me. I appreciated the honesty and the fact that this may or may not work. I also appreciated her confidence and willingness to want to help me. In the end, I found amazing relief and I am so happy with the results. More...

Trigger Points
We all have "trigger points"- highly irritable spots in a muscle that contribute critically to pain. A trigger point lies dormant in a muscle until the physical and emotional climate is right, then it fires up, causing pain in the body.
Myotherapy Session
Much like a trigger point massage, the Bonnie Prudden® therapist applies pressure to the trigger points in the muscle for several seconds. Fingers, elbow, knuckles and sometimes "Bodos" (wooden dowels) are used to release the trigger point.
Corrective Exercise
Myotherapy literally translates to muscle therapy. Once the trigger points are released, your therapist will use passive stretches to teach the muscle to remain loose and lengthened. You will also be given custom tailored stretches and exercises to help improve coordination, strength, and posture.
Initial Appointment 90 Minutes
Includes a thorough health history, manual therapy with stretching and instruction in at home, corrective, range of motion exercise
Follow up sessions 60 minutes
60 minutes of manual therapy and passive stretching
