The Taste of East Texas specializes in catering private receptions and special events. We offer custom and prearranged catering packages that include everything from tables and seating. to linens, stemware and china. Package menus can include cocktail hour appetizers, dinner entrees and side dishes tailored just for you!

I work at a wedding venue and am lucky to usually taste the food. I can honestly say this caterer is a cut above. The brisket had very little fat and the chicken breast was moist. Neither needed any sauce. Instead of the grocery store variety of cole slaw and potato salad with Hawaiian rolls these guys served perfectly seasoned fresh green beans, corn, roasted new potatoes and savory dinner rolls. What’s your signature dish?
We keep a very select number of menu items that change with the availability of fresh ingredients. If a recipe isn't perfect we don't put it on the menu. They are all prepared as "our specialties".
How do you go about creating the perfect menu for your clients?
We help our clients choose an assortment of complimentary side dishes and entrees, then prepare a private tasting so they can choose their favorites.
What do you love most about your job?
I get to do what I love, and every event is a celebration!
What inspired you to start your own business?
My desire to provide an extra special experience. I love to cook but I also love creating a beautiful atmosphere with decorations, linens, flowers etc. After attending many catered events over the years, I believed I could do it better. And being frugal myself, I try to provide the best value for my clients.
