Did a double whammy here because it's close to work and had stellar reviews and used them for both my wife's birthday and our baby shower. Their work is top notch in that both items were beautiful:1 - for my wife's birthday I chose an already made floral deco small cake. Received a ton of compliments and gave a few referrals over to Suisse (you're welcome!)2 - for baby shower I sent them a few photos of the kind of design I'm looking for and they created an almost exact replica of one of the photosPresentation is 5/5Taste is 5/5 (not too sweet, which we love)Cost is 3/5 (thus a 4-star average)Having been a bakery fan all over including NYC, I was surprised to see the high costs, even for a delicious and beautiful cake. I appreciate their craftsmanship, but price definitely stood out against a lifetime of cakes (and boy do I love my cakes). Overall: recommend for the fancy, I can splurge life events. The cookies here are amazing!!!! The frosting is very buttery on the cupcakes. I have literally been known to drive all the way to Polaris (a 20 minute drive for me) just to visit this bakery!

Throughout our wedding planning process, the Suisse Shop was very prompt in responding to our questions and very professional. Krista did a great job explaining our options. We tried some cupcakes to sample the flavors (as we had a small wedding with fewer than 40 guests). We settled on the almond cake with raspberry filling and the red velvet with French buttercream for our two flavors. The cake was beautifully decorated to our specifications, it was moist, and it was very flavorful. Our guests raved about how good it was, and many had second servings. We used the suisse shop for our wedding in July and it was amazing!!! Our cake was a simple buttercream design with 4 tiers. It was stunning and the buttercream color was perfect.... we had a mixture of flavors and fillings and SO many of guests said it was incredible. Our cake served 170– we had 110 guests and We didn’t have a single piece left. This was in addition to beautiful and delicious baked goods. Suisse shop is my favorite bakery in Columbus. I was introduced to them almost 15 years ago when I got married - my in-laws are German and really wanted a European style wedding cake. Over the years, we've stopped in for their cookies, cupcakes and cakes! I recently had a slice of their cake a friend's bday party and it made me realize I had never given a proper reviewMy favorite flavor is their almond cake with raspberry filling. It. Is. Divine.Hands down best cake in Columbus. I had their chocolate cake last night and it was also good. What I love most is their icing. I'm not an icing girl normally. I'm the person who usually scrapes off all the icing on my cakes but not here. They use buttercream and it's REAL butter. It's not sickly sweet. It actually tastes like butter and sugar and NOT like chemicals. It is so dang good. Their prices are a bit higher than Costco or grocery store cakes but more affordable than some of the higher end "wedding" bakeries in Columbus. I’m conflicted. I don’t want to leave a bad or a good review. I love this place because of their Blondie brownies. They are one of my most favorite desserts EVER! I don’t typically like dessert things but these...epic. If anyone in my family has a bad day, we stop by and get the blondie brownies. This week was especially horrific. Hubby stopped by to get blondie brownies and was informed they are no more. I think my heart broke a little. I don’t even want to tell my son But, the rest of their items are good, just not as epic like those brownies. But stop by, try them out and see for yourself. My husband and I had a great experience working with the Suisse Shop for our wedding! We opted to do a small 3-tier cake along with cupcakes, lemon bars, pecan bars, and cupcakes to create a great spread of desserts. The spread was beautiful and our guests LOVED the desserts. Not only the Suisse Shop has amazing cakes with amazing look and flavor but also great, talented and detail oriented people are working there too. I ordered a mini wedding cake to celebrate my anniversary and although I found that the designer who received my project was no longer there I was extremely please to find that Jennifer was taking over and in big way!. She suggested details for my cake and made it better than I had envisioned. She made the rings that are replicas of our wedding rings. Stunning work! I had a rhinoceros cake made for my girlfriend s birthday. It was the most beautiful cake I have ever seen. It was so realistic that nobody wanted to cut it. After about 100 pictures were taken I decided that I had to cut it. I hated to, but it was so delicious I was glad I did. We froze what was left to have in the future. I have to say the cake was the best part of our wedding. We got so many compliments on it. And what do you know!, it’s all gone haha. I was so amazed at how I presented you a picture of what I wanted and how you recreated that picture. It was perfect. The cake tasted amazing. The Suisse Shop did it again! They made such a beautiful cake at my sister's wedding about a year ago, and hit it out of the park again for my wedding! I can't thank them enough for the entire process. The cake tasting was fun and it was very good. It was hard to choose the different flavors for each layer of our wedding cake. If you want a cake that is so delicious and the design is beautiful, then you need to go to The Suisse Shop. Krista is the one who helped us throughout the process, and she is very knowledgeable at what she does. She helped us determine how many layers would be perfect for the amount of people we were expecting. When we were planning our wedding we did tastings at two different bakeries, the Suisse Shop and another. Hands down our experience with the tasting at Suisse Shop was superior! Not only was the cake more delicious with more unique flavors, but being able to try the various combinations in one sitting was awesome.
