Food- Eggs Florentine: (10/10) This was the perfect eggs florentine! The yolks were runny and the english muffins were toasted to the point where they weren't difficult to cut through (if you order eggs benedict often, you know the struggle). Love that the hollandaise sauce was served in a gravy boat, because we always end up asking for extra anyway.- Huevos Rancheros with Chorizo: (9/10) Solid take on a classic dish! The chorizo was bold and flavorful and paired really well with the eggs and guacamole. - Cannoli Stuffed French Toast: (10/10) Best french toast we've had to date!! The cannoli filling was amazing because it wasn't too sweet, and it still had that authentic ricotta cheese flavor. The cannoli shell crumbles added a nice crunchy texture too. We highly recommend you try this if you come to this diner! Service: (9/10) We were seated upon arriving by the sweetest host. Our server quickly came with menus and was very helpful and attentive throughout the meal. All of our food came out together and was fresh, hot, and ready to be devoured! Atmosphere: (9/10) Beautiful diner! It has a classic diner feel, but with the whole interior looking brand spankin' new. For sure a family-friendly place and everybody was very amicable. The meat was fresh, not frozen. Also if you don't have the desire to cook this thanksgiving, you can order a 12 person feast and the Stanford Diner will prepare it all for you. I think the best part of not cooking is also not cleaning all those dishes. I don't write reviews usually but this place is amazing. Starting from the hostess greeting us with a smile. We came on a busy Sunday morning and the wait was very reasonable. Our waiter ""Aren" greeted us at the table promptly and suggested the Challah French toast which was amazing. When the food came out I was surprised how much they gave. My 3 year old is a big critic but demolished his food. The corn beef hash is homemade and the best I have ever had. I live in Rhode Island but will be tempted to come back to Stamford for breakfast. I visit Stamford 4 times a year and I try to make it a tradition to visit the diner every trip. Yes the food is a little pricey but the portions are big and the food is good quality. I love how clean and up kept the place is. The milkshakes are delicious in the club sandwich is my favorite! More...

When traveling from NYC to Maine, this was our go-to spot to stop and eat, having survived the traffic getting out NYC. Like any good diner, the menu is simply overwhelming, but if you know what you're looking for, it's great. Typically we'd either go with breakfast for dinner (classic) or burgers all around. Came to the Stamford Diner tonight specifically because they had lice music. Something so hard to find these days. Second Chance was the name of the band and they were a nice trio playing lounge music. It's probably not for everyone but I love that stuff. It was fun. One suggestion is to have a designated dance area. I wanted to dance and think my husband would have agreed to if it appeared that there was some place designated for it. Food is always good. More...

The setting is much like a Silver Diner, however much more appealing. The dessert case is located by the entrance and of course this was not a design flaw. WOW!!!!! Is an understatement of how delicious every dessert dish is displayed. The menu is a traditional diner menu and provides every meal one can think of. First off, the new owners made a mistake modifying the original Morton Nathanson Design features. Conversion of the neon features to plastic is and looks cheap. As for the food, it has improved a great deal since your first opening, so kudos in that area! Also, thanks for keeping REAL maple syrup available for purchase on your menu. My boys have literally grown up with the amazing people at The Stamford Diner. We’ve been coming here for 10 years. Yes, the quality of the food and service is always superb, but it is the quality of the ownership and staff that makes this our favorite restaurant in CT... hands down.

Friday night we arrived for some entertainment and dinner w friends. We reserved a table and sat right down. The entertainment was a jazz trio. We all had a great time. Cookie, the jazz singer, really worked the room. Dinner was fabulous... from skirt steak to falafel to chix paillard... Everything was fabulous. I was meeting friends and sat at a table for at last 3. My friends were 45 minutes late and the waiter didn’t bother me. I had an egg white omelette with cheese and vegetables that was so large I only ate half of it. It was packed with vegetables and the cheese was melty. My friends had the waffles. One had the Wafflicious that has whipped cream, strawberries and blueberries. These were the size of the plates. At he end of the meal our waiter let us split the check 2 ways with 2different cards.
