We returned to the Ritz Carlton this Christmas due to the amazing treatment from the staff last year (especially Mitch and Arlene) and we were overwhelmed by the way we were welcomed back. Mitch by the pool is amazing - such a kind and generous person; always checking we were happy and could not do enough for us. He is simply the best - especially the way he bonded and treated our autistic daughter. She said it made her feel special that someone other than her parents noticed her and Mitch was that person. Thank you Mitch.|Arlene at breakfast was also incredible, so welcoming and always doing that bit extra that makes us as guests feel really special. The omelette man from Sweden also gave us really good service and really tasty omelettes every time! The breakfast buffet is also really good.|Front desk and concierge were also really attentive (especially Junior).|The people behind the scenes were also really good and a special mention to Housekeeping for keeping our room so tidy and clean and making sure we had everything we needed.|Thank you Ritz Carlton Fort Lauderdale - we can’t wait to come back. My husband and I live in Fort Lauderdale. We love the Fort Lauderdale Ritz so much that we often take a staycation weekend here to relax. The hotel is right on the beach and has spectacular views. ||One of our favorite things to do is to get a club pass. You can get unlimited food, drinks and snacks. They have specific buffets for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It’s not like a regular hotel buffet. The food is spectacular. It is also staffed the whole time and everyone that works here is phenomenal. They remember your name and greet you like old friends every time you come in. If you like sweets, they have a giant cookie bar. The cookies are out of this world. ||Speaking of the club level, my husband had a genius idea. Fort Lauderdale has an epic air and sea show every year. The Blue Angels and other planes truly wow you with their dazzling stunts. From the club level, you can see you show perfectly without having to be crammed in the crowd below. The Blue Angels flew so close to the balcony, that we could see US Navy on the plane’s bottom and the faces of the pilots at another time that they passed. It was the greatest. We plan to do this each year. ||The spa is also incredible. We have gone many times for massages and facials. During the fall, they have Fort Lauderdale Spa month. It’s typically in September. The deals on pricing are almost hard to believe. You can really treat yourself. A little hidden gem in the spa gift shop is the Ritz Carlton candle. It smells divine. It’s great for you or for a gift. ||Our favorite person at the Ritz is by far Ebony Gray. This family trip was made extra special by the amazing team at the pool. Mitch Blaylock, Eblet, and the rest of the team at the pool were amazing. They cared for us, they cared for our children, and they went out of their way to make sure we knew about all the activities they had planned for the holiday weekend, especially those that they knew would make our kids happy. We left there with new friends, and our kids now have memories of the nice guys that helped us out during our trip. Mitch even have our kids a gift from him and his team...stuffed lions. And our kids named the lions Mitch after their new friend. Stayed recently at the hotel for 5 nights . Overall very good with beautiful room and excellent leisure facilities.||The one issue I had was in relation to the first night I checked in at just gone midnight. I had just gone to bed to be woken by a noisy party in the room next door which I went down to report to reception.||I was assured it would be sorted. ||15 minutes later still noisy and once again I had to go down to reception to report.||This time it was sorted within 15 minutes , but though I received a call from one of the managers the following afternoon to apologise , it would I believe have been appropriate to have had some form of reduction in my room rate for the night in question. A wonderful, relaxing and elegant experience. Especially the staff! The hotel itself is a bit dated and could use a facelift. Although the elevators were quick and efficient, they looked dated, especially with the room card key still present but not functioning. This causes confusion to those of us who spend time in various hotels. If it is not in use, remove it! However, the staff being so attentive to my every need, as well as utilizing my appropriate title (I am a religious leader), was very impressive. Had a great time with the future Mrs. We had a couple mishaps such as the sauna being shut down for renovation, however, the front desk manager and spa manager accommodated appropriately. Service by the pool was exceptional by Mitch Blaylock, who truly carries the Ritz Carlton flag of incredible service. We will be back just to be served by Mitch. There was one servers by the pool who was not nearly as attentive. The beach is connect by skyway with beach umbrellas and chairs provided by Ritz beach staff with incredibly clear seawater and beach team providing bottle water. The front door team was also very good, worked as a team and there to serve us at all times. The cafe in the restaurant is a hidden gem with an incredible $8 breakfast sandwich.
