I ordered pick 2 meats pulled pork and rib tips, there was alot of food there half pound of each, kinda funny I weighed them on my kitchen scale because they said 1/4 pound but I knew there was more. Both of those were great, perfectly cooked and sauced (very good stuff). Then the pit fries, for 6 dollars you get a pile of fries and a heaping pile of meat on top. This was a meal in itself, every good and big. Then the greens were very good as well, my mom's throat was a lil scratchy from being sick. So the spicy greens bothered her a lil. In the middle of a shopping center that is reminiscent of a post apocalyptic movie set, the Pit is a clean, friendly and smartly styled gem. Portions are generous and the quality is consistent. The sides deserve as much merit as the entree items and the Mac and cheese is to die for. The Pit BBQ sauce is a homemade, chutney type of sauce and nothing is too spicy for those who can't handle heat. The Pit is the best! Their food truck came to an Ohio State Men's Lacrosse camp that I was working, and I instantly knew what I was having for dinner. Their rib tips were juicy and tender, the coleslaw was PERFECT and the macaroni was creamy and cheesy. Really good ribs! Tender, smokey and the sauce isn't super strong but it tastes very tomato like and sweet. Wish the coleslaw was a lot colder but great flavor on it and the yams and fries too.
