One of my fave guilty pleasures. I usually stick to a mango paleta with tajin and chamoy, but sometimes the aroma of that delicious nacho cheese and the display of all the different types of hot cheeto-esque chips have me feeling some type of way, so I cave. This place gets packed, but the staff are friendly and helpful and keep the line moving quickly! They help you pick out your paleta, dip chocolate flavor, and toppings and then will explain to you any extras you would like- agua Frescas, Chips etc.. we love this little spot !

If you like popsicles, you'll love this place! I went in and sampled a few different flavors. The workers were very friendly and told us everything about the dessert. This place is quickly becoming one of my favorite spots for a treat in ABQ. It's located right across the street from where I work, so I'll just be sending my paychecks directly to them since I go all the time now, anyway. Every time I've gone I've gotten a different combo. Is there even such a thing as a bad combo here? My favorite so far is the Oreo on Oreo with more chocolate and maybe some more Oreo. I love that this place is so efficient and the process is so streamlined and seamless. The staff was so patient with me my first time trying to decide what to order! I rarely write reviews, but this place is is so amazing I had to say something. From the customer service to the atmosphere and the quality of products. The staff was eager and passionate to share their product.  They offered us several samples and suggested different combinations for the Paletas. Paleta Bar is go to! The staff is very friendly and happy to explain menu items. Great selection to choose from as well as aguas frescas too. If you go in hungrier, the dori-nachos are a must try. You get a choice of your chips, topped with elote and/or their house-made beef jerky, slathered with nacho cheese, more cheese, and if you'd like, Valentin and pickled jalapeños. The Paleta Bar is AMAZING! I actually don't live in Albuquerque anymore due to the military but every time I visit my family one of my first stops is the Paleta Bar. The owner is super nice and the people that work there are great at their job. I am obsessed with their jerky. So much I asked if they could send me some bags to Colorado. I ordered 25 bags and they were shipped off the following day. I will continue to order jerky from the Paleta Bar until they open up a location in Colorado. Absolutely WONDERFUL. The owner came in and was so welcoming to us with a smile and knew/got to know each of his customers sitting inside, gave us recommendations on which drinks to try or combinations and shakes, his employees also hold that same value for their customers being willing to go above and beyond and seem to love their job and are friendly and get to know you in the short time you're their. Yum yum yum!! We didn't even know paletas were a thing until we moved to The Land of Enchantment. You can't go wrong going here for a sweet treat, just know that sometimes the line is out the door, so plan to be patient. This place turned out to be one of my most favorite dessert spots in New Mexico! There are sooooo many options and combinations that there is a high possibility that you will totally find something you like. Don't believe me, try all the flavors and see which one is your favorite!My favorite has to be taro. It's a unique flavor that is not usually found in traditional American restaurants. Then I topped it with white chocolate and strawberries. So good! In addition, the staff is amazing! This place is a place we can always get something and know we will enjoy it! My husband and I have gone a few times along with our kids. I even took a friend here because it is so tasty!! We have tried many popsicles, chips with cheese which is so much better tasting then those other places, the cheese sauce is soooo good!! We have had the aguas frescas, corn in a cup and fruit bowl with chile and limon!! So tasty my mouth is literally watering from how delicious everything is. The owners are so nice and friendly, willing to tell you how their items are made because of the passion they have for their products. I visited this place after spending the weekend in Albuquerque. I was not in the mood for desserts (crazy) when I first found out about The Paleta Bar, but the reviews and pictures made me schedule my drive to stop here before leaving. I'd say it was a good itinerary change because every bite/sip was delicious, heaven. Every flavor mixed to create a flavor that made me "mmmh" every time I took a sip/bite. I felt like I was back home in Puerto Rico or at least on a sunny beach. If my path finds me in Albuquerque again I will go the bar again, but in the mean time I will be longing for my mango shake. I also enjoyed the jerky they sell here, it's thin but has a wonderful flavor and is easy to chew - I tired the flaming hot Cheetos flavor. This new place is AMAZING! Owned by the same family as the neighboring "Spring rolling" the staff is super helpful and friendly! I got the avocado Paleta which was DELICIOUS! They also have tons of other flavors, additions, toppings and great drinks! Everything was incredibly cheap and they also gave us a discount for eating lunch at the spring rolling restaurant. Went to the Paleta Bar for the Yelp Elite event and they had changed my favorite paleta! It used to be a strawberry paleta with condensed milk inside but now it seems to be a milk paleta filled with strawberry jam. Anyway, they're yummy even without all the dips and toppings. I was pleased to see a lavender paleta that they had partnered with a local tea store to make. Next time I'll prbably get a watermelon paleta with all the fresh fruit. Anyway, my complaint about this place is always the same-- it's laid out poorly and there isn't enough room to sit (there could be!). We had to eat our paletas in the car and I've seen many others in the car doing the same. At the very least, outdoor seating would be nice. If another paleta place comes around with better environment/seating, patrons will likely choose a place where they can stay and enjoy their treats. Others who went that night said they drove to uptown to sit in the area outside enjoying their paletas. It's about the whole experience-- and that includes where people enjoy your product. More...

I had no idea what a paleta was but I'm sure glad I know what it is now, man have I been missing out! The employees immediately greeted us with free samples of anything we wanted to try, which is awesome so you can make sure you like what you are getting. You can dip your paleta in milk chocolate, dark chocolate, white chocolate or yogurt and then your choice of 2 toppings. Not to mention a variety of other options they have on there menu! The Paleta Bar on Riverside is one of my favorite places to visit on the weekends. They have a wide variety of frozen popsicles and you are able to taste test before you pick your flavor. After choosing your paleta, you have the option of dipping/half-dipping it in milk/dark chocolate or white chocolate, then, you choose a topping to stick to chocolate. My favorite is the piñon! #58 for 2019When I was younger, I would go to Coronado Mall.  I dont know how many people in ABQ recall the Frozen Banana dipped in chocolate place they had.  I would beg my mom to take me! Ya see I've been a foodie my whole life!! Unfortunately, most times my moms answer was NO.  Well guess what! I'm a grown up now and I do what I want!!!!!I love The Paleta Bar for many reasons... and one of those reasons is it takes me back to the times of having a frozen banana dipped in chocolate and rolled in peanuts! Here is the difference in old memories and making new memories.  When you are kid you are given very few choices and as an adult you have many choices in front of you.  The Paleta Bar is a huge rainbow of choices... and I do mean huge!!!! 1. You pick your Paleta Bar from an abundance flavors2.
