The Valley Dale Ballroom - The venue that saved our wedding! Long story short, we ended up changing venues from our original choice 45 days before our wedding. With a few options still available, we ended up choosing the Valley Dale. I met Sahra, the boss lady (she runs the place- with grace, might I add) and she was nothing short of amazing and accommodating. I was a little skeptical at first because the Valley Dale is significantly different than the barn style wedding we were planning for roughly a year, however Sahra said it best, sometimes plan B is better than plan A. She was 10000% right and I had no idea how right she was until the day of our wedding. We tried a different set up with where we got married (a circle ceremony) it was SO COOL!! The building already has a stage, an enormous dance floor and killer acoustics, we knew that this would be pretty fantastic since we had a band rather than a DJ- P.S. if you're looking for a band, looking further than Martini Affair is a waste of time. They were AWESOME and everyone (yeah, even Aunt Sally who doesn't dance) was up dancing, having the time of their lives!! Also, there's a very cool bridge, walking distance from the venue where we took our photos... they came out BEAUTIFUL!! With some hiccups in our wedding planning road, Sahra made it a smooth as possible. We got married at the end of September 2018 and are still continuing to get compliments on EVERYTHING! Sahra knows what she's talking about- for example: I was worried we wouldn't have enough bartenders, she assured me that based on the number of guests, that we would be fine, however if we wanted to add more, we could. It was so lovely to get her opinion, but she would accommodate any extra need if so desired. (P.S. we went with her recommendation and she was right again, glad we trusted her) It was a no brainer that we made the right choice, plan B was definitely better than plan A. If you are looking for a wedding venue with a professional staff, that doesn't look like all of the other wedding venues, for a wedding experience that does't feel like all other weddings, go visit. From the history of the building, to the color changing crystal chandeliers, to the massive stage and dance floor- guys, you won't be disappointed. I promise, you will love this place! More...

The food was delicious and the staff was fantastic; they were very accommodating and fun! The price seemed high (roughly $100/person) but the money spent was well worth it. We had 3 appetizers (big hit - the mini crab cakes especially), beef tenderloin (cooked perfectly), chicken and two sides along with a delicious salad and a couple desserts. I've always liked the Valley Dale. The ballroom is beautiful. When they finish the renovation they should consider the carpet on the entry stairs, it needs replaced. What about the handicap? No way for them to up or down entry/ballroom stairs with ease(no elevator). The ladies restroom is up stairs and the men's is down. Why would you make it more convenient for a man who would most likely have on flats, than a woman who most likely will have heels on and have to climb up a lot of stairs(terrible design) not to mention safety. They really need to address that situation along with being wheelchair and handicap friendly! I love that the history of this place is being preserved, Thank you. More...

My wedding was held at The New Valley Dale Ballroom 7-28-18, and it was perfect! The staff was professional and courteous. Sahra, the Venue Manager stepped in and worked all night long. Made From Scratch catered our wedding just a week ago- we had an amazing experience. Our consultant Lauren and baker Carol were both very helpful, kind, and easy to communicate with. We started with a private tasting which worked out much better than group tastings we did with other caterers. We had lots of compliments on the food and cake at the wedding- one guest in particular told us it was the best food he ever had at a wedding. First off, the place is beautiful. It took me a long time to figure out that the chandeliers change color, and now I want them everywhere. It's remarkably easy to get to, lots of parking available, and everyone at the venue was super-helpful and very excited to show off the ballroom. Made from Scratch catered my Gala, at the Columbus Museum of Art. We had to switch caterers last minute, and even with minimal planning, everything was perfect! Lauren was a doll and so perfect to work with. Everyone raved about the mashed potatoes, the dainty desserts, and the succulent beef! We hosted a baby shower for my little sister on a Saturday in July, and the food we ordered was supposed to arrive between 10:15-10:30 for our 11am shower. By 10:35-no food...so I double checked my email confirmation and noticed that I ordered the food for SUNDAY-so I freaked out, cried, then pulled it together and called Made From Scratch. I left a VM with Selena and got a call back within minutes. She was wonderfully, calm and asked for a few details, then said: "Let me see what I can do." She called their chef, their driver and long story short, our original order was delivered to my home for the shower at noon. Perfect timing for lunch.They completely fixed and mistake that I made and they did it with kindness and professionalism and the most important part: the food was delicious. Prior to ordering, I spoke with Emily and told her a bit about the shower and she narrowed down the menu options and emailed them to me. We were able to pick from those choices and we were not disappointed. We used this caterer for our daughter's wedding at Crago Farms and could not have been more pleased. The food was fantastic from the appetizers to the main course and the staff was so pleasant to work with. We had compliments all night long. Lauren Dillon was wonderful to work with and she worked so well with Dana at Crago Farms that they had everything under control and we were able to enjoy the day.
