1000/10- Scott was a pure joy to work with. He listened to what we wanted, gave us customized options that fit our budget. We wanted to focus most of our budget on the reception, so we opted for the Hybrid Band/DJ option and no live cocktail music. Not only was he super easy to work with, but he added a bass & saxophone to cocktail hour for us at no added expense since a saxophone was something I had on my want list from the beginning. It added a special touch to our cocktail hour! He and his team adapted easily throughout the night especially when our groomsman asked for a special request entrance song we had not previously discussed. We loved having Scott and the Music Boutique play at our wedding! We had many conversations with Scott before the wedding to discuss our preferences, and he was happy to play different kinds of music including traditional jazz, funkier jazz, and pop covers. Our guests loved the variety! He was always happy to chat over email or the phone about details and to make recommendations. He had lots of great suggestions for the non-musical parts of the ceremony as well! He also did a great job MC-ing parts of the wedding, including toasts and the first dance, and they did a spontaneous Horah. Lastly, we appreciated being able to listen to his music online. It is an absolute no brainer to hire The Music Boutique to play at your next event! They played at my wedding in October 2022 and completely outdid themselves! Scott is so kind and really worked with me to customize my wedding day music from start to finish. He went out of his way with numerous emails, phone calls and texts the months leading up to my big day to make sure everything was the way I wanted. He and the band are so genuine and great musicians! I cannot tell you how many compliments I got and STILL get almost 3 months later from my guests saying how awesome the band was and how much they loved the music. It’s a great feeling knowing that not only did my husband and I love our wedding band but our guests did too! A few months after my sister had finalized all of her other wedding vendors I convinced her she needed live music for the ceremony and cocktail hour. I found The Music Boutique online while living in Nashville, TN. Scott was so wonderful to work with. Him and I were able to make all the arrangements over the phone/email and the day of performance was seamless despite loads of rain and never actually meeting in person. My sister and guests agreed the musicians made the wedding. We had 3 strings and Scott on the keyboard. They even worked out a surprise first dance performance. After much research my wife and I found Scott, and wow was it beyond worth it. After initially reaching out to Scott he responded very quickly and the communication was A+ Our first wedding date was canceled due to covid and Scott made it a painless experience to reschedule with him. On the days leading up to the wedding Scott reached out to me to finalize the minor details and we were set. On the wedding day Scott was there early. When I arrived to the venue Scott was there and because of weather we had to discuss a different area to play. We had Scott smd his band performance during our cocktail hour and it was so worth it he had everyone singing to the backstreet boys! Very awesome band and Scott is just a genuinely nice guy. We hired a violin and cello duo for our ceremony and cocktail hour. Scott, Bela and Eric were amazing! They were extremely easy to work with and took our requests and delivered flawlessly. The bridal processional song was different but the team translated the sheet music and executed perfectly. It sounded incredible! My husband and I can’t say enough about how amazing it was to work with Scott Arcangel/Music Boutique. From the start, he was attentive and extremely knowledgeable. He instantly made us feel comfortable and we knew our wedding music would be perfect! Due to Covid 19, we had to change our original plans and Scott was flexible throughout the entire process! He not only assisted us with the music selection, he helped shape our ceremony from start to finish! He checked in with us throughout the process which kept us connected! I found Scott Arcangel Music with the help of my cousin for our wedding. Working with Scott was amazing! Not only was Scott affordable and within our budget for music but Scott went above and beyond to make our day special. Scott was easy to get in touch with and made sure he kept us on track to be ready for our big day. We were able to work closely with Scott on playlists and he did an amazing job with our must have songs for the night – including learning and composing an arrangement for a song called “Tank” from our favorite anime to walk into at the reception. From the get-go, Scott was an EXCELLENT communicator and totally understood what we were looking for - our music tastes aligned perfectly and we were so grateful to find him so quickly. What started as a somewhat stressful search quickly turned into one of the most positive experiences with a 'vendor' from our whole wedding. He worked with us on a special performance by my sister and friend during our ceremony, he was totally flexible on song choices when we couldn't quite make up our mind... not to mention he played absolutely beautifully on the day!! I recently worked with Scott, as a photographer, helping to document a beautiful wedding at Alden Castle venue in Brookline, MA. Scott's trio was playing jazz, creating a very intimate and romantic setting throughout the evening. I could tell that Scott kept a close eye on the atmosphere and made sure that his music matched exactly to the wishes of bride and groom and all of their guests. Throughout the evening, Scott's band was professional, polite, attuned to their clients wishes and just a pleasure to work with. What do you love most about your job?
The most important thing for me, is to make sure the client trusts that the music we provide will be perfect for their vision of the event - and that we'll perform in the most professional manner from the moment we arrive.
In terms of experience, I have been professionally leading all types of ensembles for over 20 years - from small ensembles up through full big bands. That translates to a comfort level on all kinds of events - from intimate performances for small audiences, to large-scale events at performing arts centers and stadiums, as well as radio and television broadcasts.
My process is professional and organized, as I typically manage over 100 events with 45-60 musicians per year.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I've enjoyed working with private clients who are booking cocktail parties, weddings, birthday/anniversary parties, summer lawn parties, recordings, concerts, and all kinds of other events.
My corporate clients have included groups in healthcare, hospitality, universities, government organizations, charities, and all kinds of businesses - from large to small.
Whether it's playing a gala event for a Fortune 500 company, a fun Gatsby-era summer lawn party, or an intimate family celebration for a loved one's 100th birthday - the satisfying part is being able share what we do best, and to provide the right touch for the client's event.
