We were married (both service and reception) this past fall at the Millennium Center and I cannot say enough positive things about the overall experience! Being incredibly busy finishing the last year of my masters I had little time for wedding planning and staying on top of details with vendors and such. Greg and his team were able to provide almost everything I needed in terms of decorations and overall flow of the wedding. We also used his catering company for food and it was the most delicious wedding food we have ever had! The day of he handled everything with the caterer, DJ, cake, and guests. I have attended many charity events there and there has always been ample room to move about. My favorite is the basement. Reminds me of the old speakeasies.

Believing in the magic of facebook with this post!!!

This past weekend my grandmother lost a charm bracelet that she has been wearing for the past 30 years at my brothers graduation in Winston Salem North Carolina at Wake Forest Law School.

It was lost on Sunday. My parents and grandparents went to the ceremony at Wait Chapel and then they went to the reception at Millenium Hall. She noticed it was missing at the reception, so it could have fallen off in either location, but she thinks she had it and it fell off at the reception.

Later they went to Firebirds in town for dinner.

It is a gold chain and it has 19 silhouette heads on it of girls and boys to represent each grandchild engraved with their birthdates.

The bracelet is very sentimental, as it has 19 charms on it to represent each of her grandchildren, engraved with the names and dates of birth of each grandchild. It was a gift from her mother before she passed away many years ago.

Sadly I do not have a picture of the actual bracelet, but the charms look similar to the picture posted with this post. Very similiar to the one attached with 6 charms, however the missing bracelet has 19. I can also confirm the names and birth dates on the bracelet if it has been found.

Glad the facility has been repurposed... In the banquet hall, our table had way too much cold air blasting us throughout our day there. Didn't really care that there was nowhere for us smokers to excuse ourselves for a moment except at the main entrance, with no receptacles for wastes. OMGosh! Our wedding this past weekend (10-22-16) was so epic! Greg & his wife are the sweetest people ever! I just love them! So easy to work with! And Kaitlyn...is a Doll! She work with me side by side to iron out the details and needs for the day! I am so happy to have had her as our Day of Coordinator! She made sure everything ran so smooth and flowed with ease! Choosing to have our wedding reception at the Millennium Center was the best choice we made about our wedding. The building itself is stunning, but the staff really made the wedding of our dreams a reality! Kaitlyn, Greg, and the entire staff blew us away with their professionalism, their creativity, and their flexibility. They were amazing to work with- they thought of everything and really have weddings down to a science, we never doubted we were in great hands! Kaitlyn kept me updated about everything - even sent me preview pictures while setting up the ballroom and lobby, which was so thoughtful. One of the great things about the Millennium Center is all of the extras they provide. When booking with them you not only get a venue, but a caterer, an event coordinator, serving staff, and new friends! The food was delicious, and we heard nothing but great things from our guests. The morning of our wedding, our entire bridal party was able to get ready either in the bridal salon or in a special area downstairs that Greg set up for the guys. This was so special to us, and saved us from having one more thing to coordinate! We used the Millennium Center only for our reception location and I'm so glad we did! Greg and his wonderful staff were great to work with! Planning a wedding from across the country is never easy but Greg went above and beyond to accommodate any special requests and customized the space to make it uniquely ours. Millennium Center has so much character and really embodies the rich history of Winston-Salem. Greg and his staff worked really well with our florist, photographer, and cake bakery- everything went so smoothly on the wedding day! Greg went the extra mile to ensure everything was perfect for the big day, he even worked around our schedules to set up a menu & wine tasting for us when we came into town one weekend. His staff was very friendly and welcoming- Kaitlyn set up a romantic candlelit dinner for my husband and I before being introduced at the reception, it was such a wonderful moment to have! My experience with the Millennium Center was nothing but positive!

I had a wedding scheduled at the Millennium Center for Sept 23 2017. August 22 my mother fell and broke her hip, she needed round tbe clock care and i was far to busy to take part in my wedding planning. I left everything up to the staff. Greg and his staff, who were in the first week of their busy season, cut no corners and gave my bride and I a gorgeous affair. Tables were lain with fine china in perfect position, the ballroom was stunning and the grand lobby was glorious. My geusts all raved about the beauty of the rooms and the delicious food. My meal was scrumptious, service was impeccable, and the culmination of the planning was as if they read my brides mind. Words cannot express how amazing the Millennium Center and staff were for our Wedding this past September. I was planning our wedding out of town (Charlotte) and both Greg and Kaitlyn were a dream to work with and extremely detail oriented. No request was too large or small for the team at Millennium and they made sure to cater our day to fit our personality. Millennium is a one stop shop offering full services of catering, decor, floral arrangements, tables, chairs, table linens, etc. which made the planning process a breeze. Not having to purchase a ton of candles/decor that I would never use again was a huge perk and they have an amazing selection to choose from. The Millennium team can make any floral dream come true with their talented staff. My colors were black and white with greenery and rose accents. We had high expectations for our wedding celebration and the experience envisioned for our guests. The Millennium Center was our choice for our wedding and reception. The Millennium Center under the direction of Greg Carlyle, Kaitlyn Kiser, and Stephanie Morris was transformed into a majestic dreamland. It was an enchantment like none other. Simple Elegance!! The wedding ceremony and reception were held in the grand ballroom, and the cocktail hour in the grand lobby. Chef Patrick Rafferty prepared appetizers and a meal that was artfully and tastefully done. The selections were absolutely delicious!! Our guests are still raving about the professional staff, ambience of the venue, exquisite food, and music that set the tone of elegance. In addition, we were blessed to have our dear friend Ms. Maria Howell perform for our guests during the wedding reception. . . . . an evening of elegance. With all parties involved, we were able to have the wedding of our dreams. We are both very grateful. We could not be more impressed with how Kaitlyn and Greg handled our wedding planning. We threw together a wedding in six months and you would have thought we had spent years planning it with the thoroughness and exceptional quality we experience. I don't know where to begin, the Millennium Center was a delight to work with from start to finish in planning the wedding. The building itself is a magnificent 100 year old structure with all kinds of fascinating architectural detail. Greg Carlyle, the proprietor, has transformed the Millennium Center into a state of the art event venue, which regularly hosts all types of events from graduations, to weddings, to New Year's Parties. We worked one-on-one with Greg, who took us under his wing and provided not only the stunning venue, but helped us select the menu, and fabulous food was served at the wedding reception right from the oven! We received so many compliments from our guests, but the compliment really needs to be passed to Greg, who orchestrated it all. My husband and I actually live in Greensboro, NC. We found that there was NO venue that had as much personality that the Millennium Center without having to literally rebuild it from the ground up. From beginning to end, Greg and his entire staff were extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful with our process of planning THE best wedding reception ever :) People still talk about how nice Greg was, how great the food was, and how amazing the venue looked til this day.
