Services

Losing intimacy and connection with your significant other can be painful! Maybe day in and day out you feel like something’s missing in the relationship. Maybe you feel that you’re living like roommates instead of lovers. Maybe you really miss your partner and feel trapped in intense loneliness. If you’re reading this, maybe it’s time to come to couple’s therapy.

I have experienced the distress of many couples in therapy, along with the healing conversations that restore relationships. I’ve witnessed how vulnerable it is for couples to open up after living in a cycle of hurt or indifference, but I’ve also seen them open up to each other for the first time in years. It is my privilege to observe these couples gradually drop their defenses and reestablish trust and warmth in their relationship.

Feeling anxious and depressed is not fun! It can feel dark, hopeless, and scary. It can hinder you from doing what you want to do, and from enjoying everyday activities. It can drain the energy out of you and make you feel like a zombie drifting through life. Maybe you feel like you’re letting your friends and family down because of depression or anxiety, which may add guilt to the mix. Or maybe you have begun to believe you are worthless. That is why I have searched for more effective ways to help clients that are experiencing anxiety and depression.

I use a method that is evidence-based called TEAM CBT. This approach is similar to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in that it centers on how negative thoughts create negative feelings, which create negative behaviors. With TEAM CBT, however, We don’t just explore distorted thoughts. We also explore why it seems like no matter how hard you try to overcome them, anxiety and depression just keep coming back. I also incorporate Internal Family Systems techniques to help you examine and address what “parts” of you are depressed and anxious, and how they may be trying to protect you. The goal is ultimately to decrease feelings of depression and anxiety so that you can get back to loving your life! So, if you’re ready to get started I am ready to support you through this journey. Get in touch with me to schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation where I can answer any questions you may have about the therapeutic process.
