The Go To Contractors

The owner of the company (Ravum) contacted us shortly after my original review was posted.  He wanted to know what had gone wrong, how his company could do better in the future, and what they could do to make us satisfied customers. I'm happy to report that they came out this past weekend and fixed the concrete. Ravum did a wonderful job listening to exactly what we were unhappy with and didn't stop until the problem was fixed.  The fence looks beautiful, the concrete is cut back and they even spent time packing it in with dirt in order for the ground all to be completely level.  I'm impressed with TGTC and the lengths they went to to ensure we were satisfied customers. The Go To Contractors built a good deal of privacy fencing on my property.  The guys were friendly and easy to work with, they built just what I needed, and it was all done swiftly and without costing a fortune.  What more could you ask for?  The fence is well constructed, sturdy, and it looks great.  If I have another project in the future, I will call them first for an estimate. Ruvim, and his team are very professional and will go the extra mile to achieve any of your goals. His competitor came in at $13k more than his bid, and that didn't sit well with me. You know who's looking to build a long term relationship with you, and who's looking to make a quick buck off you. Well, Ruvim will choose to build his clientele than over bid your project. We hired this company to replace our falling-over fence.  First, they began to build our new fence with a huge gap at the bottom (after we had explained the need for it to touch the ground because of pets).  Then, the fence they built was so wobbly that we could shake the first panel and the ENTIRE fence would wobble.  The contractor argued with me and said "that's what fences do".  He finally agreed to re-do the fence, this time with bigger posts.  When the bigger posts were put in, the amount of concrete they used was so excessive we ended up with an 18" circle of concrete around each post.  There were still gaps at the bottom of the fence so they had to come out once again to replace many of the pickets, as well as clean up the huge mess they left on our patio and scrape off the concrete that they had left all up and down the posts.  The fence finally looks great but it was such a frustrating experience and I will not hire them again, nor recommend the company. Since my review below TGTC had done a great job at providing us with estimates and preparing for the work to be done. I am now raising them to 4 stars. I hope after the work is done that I can upgrade this to 5 stars.6/4/20: They were very responsive at first and came right out to measure for an estimate. They said they would contact us by noon the next day with a quote. We never heard back from them. Not a great way to start a business relationship. I would not recommend. More...
