About

The Foundry Art Centre resides in what was once a train car factory; a 1920’s structure formerly owned by American Car & Foundry. Rather than demolish the 36,800 square foot building, the community of St. Charles worked tirelessly to complete a $2.

A small yet wonderful jewel in the heart of St. Charles, MO. As an artist/designer myself, I am one to never interrupt an artist while they are working but I couldn’t resist. I was overcome and compelled to thus becoming engrossed in a 45-minute discussion with him in his studio space. He was more than happy to share his history and inspiration behind his craft. I highly recommend! More...

The Foundry is a great place to not only visit the studios of local artists, but also to hold events. One of my friends held their wedding here and it was beautiful.

Very neat place with local and I believe some non local artists. They host local schools art exhibitions and band/choir performances. Worth poking in and taking a look if there is a festival or exhibition! Very cool interior. It used to be a train depot before being converted. More...

It's really cool that they made this old foundry into a modern day wonder. Love old stuff renovated it's right at the end of historic main St and on the Katy trail. Good parking, too. Check it out✔️

Nice venue for an art show or wedding. There are working artist's studios on the second level. They usually just ask for a donation. They have a help desk with someone to greet you when you arrive. More...

I would like to see such a wonderful venue, workspace and gallery set up in my own home town of Wichita Kansas. Their mission, CONNECT PEOPLE WITH THE ARTS THROUGH EXHIBITIONS, STUDIO ARTISTS, PERFORMANCES, & EDUCATION, is being met. We were there for the * Into the Woods * show so I bought a book about the show to use as inspiration for art classes that I coach. When you visit be sure to check out the guy who teaches Pottery in a playful and fun way ... I think his name is Carlsberg... It is Carl something. He had us create our own little pot-bellied whistles which we then brought home to put in the kiln. What a blast! More...

Nice location, plenty of parking on site. I was there to view the venue for a party rental more than the display. It was big and open. Very nice minimalist space. The staff was curteous and accommodating. Depending in style preference I would recommend the venue for a large party/ nontraditional wedding. More...

The traveling exhibition of botanical paintings was the best I've ever seen. The details on the best of them drew you closer and closer and always satisfied. Very skilled and very patient!
