Picked an arrangement on their website to deliver to my wife for her birthday. I called because I was worried that they did not get the order and it was obviously important to get to her on her special day. They had all the information exactly how I entered it online and the woman I spoke to was super nice. My wife was surprised when she received the flowers and impressed with the quality of the bouquet. All for a reasonable price. I will definitely use them again. I placed my order with Flower Cottage had same day delivery. The staff was very courteous when I called after I placed my order and overall, it was an absolute pleasure to deal with them. The flowers were delivered in less than an hour and the arrangement made the recipient really happy. I live in York, SC and my dad is in the hospital 3 hours away in Charleston and will be there through the holiday. Since I can't get to him right away, I wanted to send him something to cheer him up and placed an order online with The Flower Cottage. Someone from the shop called me at 3:00pm to let me know that they didn't have what I ordered, but when I explained the situation, she said she would make something happen. Not only did they deliver what I ordered, but it was absolutely beautiful and in his room by 5:30. If I ever need flowers in Charleston again, you can bet this is who I will use. Had a death in the family last Valentine's day. I showed up at the shop early the morning of Feb 14th. Of course, they were very busy. I explained my situation, the fact I was 120 miles from home and needed flowers to bring my wife, SIL's and MIL some moment of joy. The women in the shop were very helpful, empathetic, spared me some roses and helped me pick out everything. They stopped what they were doing, prepared the arrangements and took care of what I needed. They really made my bad day much better.  I was able to walk in with flowers for everyone and it was perhaps the brightest moment of the day.  We have used them since with no issues. My mother is calling today to send something to my MIL tomorrow.  Until given a reason to change- this will be my go-to florist for downtown Charleston.  A++Thanks to The Flower Cottage for great service and helpful people. I live on the west coast but my boyfriend's mother lives in South Carolina and was getting major surgery. It was difficult to find a good flower shop to work with not being entirely familiar with the area. You guys made a beautiful flower arrangement that looked just as advertised. I ordered flowers for a friend through BloomNation, and they turned out BEAUTIFUL and affordable. The process was seamless--I ordered in the morning and they were delivered that evening. The only criticism I have is that I didn't get any communication from anyone between when I ordered and when the flowers were delivered, so for a moment I was afraid they wouldn't be...but everything went off without a hitch! I was recommended to call The Flower Cottage by the owner of 2 Meeting Street Inn, which turned out to be a fantastic suggestion. I didn't research my flower vendors until a couple of months before our event and hired The Flower Cottage a month before our wedding. I was very clear on what I wanted. Having researched styles, colours, types of flowers and then "meeting" with Linda (phone) she helped me bring my vision to a plan. She spent time listening to my vision and made great suggestions on how to enhance it. We had several phone meetings, exchanged pictures, pricing and in the end, I place my trust in her to deliver. The day or our wedding she had everything delivered to the historic Rice Mill, she workded with Jenna in setting up all the arrangements and to help transform the Rice Mill into a romantic dream. I live in Toronto which made this process that much more challenging, I had to trust my vendors and hope that they would deliver what they said they would. Well, The Flower Shop, headed up by Linda, delivered the most beautiful flower arrangements, bouquets, candle arrangements, etc, we couldn't have been happier with their product and services. Linda and Peggy were really amazing. Our flowers turned out better than I ever could have imagined. They were also willing to sit down and take time with us to figure out exactly what we wanted and were more than willing to help stay within our budget. Everyone at the wedding said how beautiful the flowers were. The large centerpiece that they made for our reception was well beyond what I imagined and honestly I was stunned at how beautiful it was when I saw it the day of our wedding!! Spend the money and get decent flowers for your wedding. It really makes a difference in pictures and the weddings I've been to that didn't use The Flower Cottage, their flowers did not even compare to how ours looked and it is definitely noticeable. I ordered from the cottage online and 5 min later called to verify delivery time. I received the best customer service from the sweetest woman who gave me a time frame of delivery and answered any questions I had. I was ordering for a friend who recently moved to Charleston and was going through a rough time. Not only did the flowers get there less than 2 hours after purchased but they were just as beautiful, if not more, as the picture shown on website. Linda and Peggy at the Flower cottage wowed us! My daughter and I were so ecstatic when we first saw the bride and bridesmaid bouquets! We had spent many hours with Linda and Peggy at their shop discussing our vision and the result was spectacular. The flowers at the church and reception were beyond our expectations. We received so many compliments all evening long on the centerpieces at the reception, they were so beautiful. Peggy is so creative and high energy. She knows her flowers and gave us so many choices and great suggestions. We loved her idea of wrapping the bouquets with the fabric from the dresses; such an extra special touch and attention to detail. She also added extra bling to the centerpiece vases that really set them off. We so appreciated their on-time delivery at all the different locations that we requested.
