About

James started performing professionally later in life. As a fan of sleight of hand and the art of magic, his desire wasn’t sparked to perform professionally until one late night, he saw magician Jared Kopf perform the very first trick he learned in such a beautiful way that it could only be described as magic.

Q&As

I have been in love with magic my whole life but professionally for the last 10 years. I have traveled to New York, performed at the World Famous Magic Castle, and spent time with some of my favorite idols. Magic has an ability to connect with audiences that I have not seen from other art forms. It allows me to freely express myself and perform in a tradition 100 of years in the making. The intimate connection to our past makes it special to me.

My show is designed with the modern audience in mind. Instead of pulling rabbits out of hats or pretending I have powers, I like to respect the audience and help them ponder what they see. To make them question what their reality is and what is real and what is possible.

My show is audience-centric, meaning most of the performance is centered around how the audience participates. They will choose cards, make selections, or help me read minds. Each effect is designed to engage the audience so that they feel part of the show. The show utilizes classics of magic such as cards and coins. But the goal is to make them feel engaged on a deeper level.

I have always loved performing magic. In the last few years, I realized that my skill set in magic, audience engagement, deception, storytelling, are great for developing larger theater-based projects. I dabble in what is called "immersive theater" or performance that isn't on stage and brings you into a world. Starting my own company has allowed me to develop multiple projects that aren't just about magic but use magic in interesting and deceptive ways to create better theatrical performances.

I am a magician, but I am not here to make you the end of a joke. To make you feel silly for not understanding my skills. I want you to feel inspired and get the warm fuzzy feeling in your stomach magic brings to me. My shows are designed to create conversation, engage audiences, and generally break the norm of what is expected in magic. I want audiences to enjoy me as a person just as much as the performance.

I have zoom and online shows availble. I regularly do online shows for the Children's Hospital in Denver, CO.

Most of my routines have been modified to reduce contact between spectators but still give them the chance to connect. Most of the effects can be done on stage with people sitting in their seats. I have also structured shows that minimize props and use masks and can be done outdoors.

Services

Looking for a way to bring some fun and happiness to your event? Hiring a guest entertainer gives you the ability to keep the conversation moving, the mood upbeat and fun, and allows you to enjoy yourself and your guests. I will bounce from table to table, getting people to mingle and keep them entertained until the main event.

A well curated show gives your guests an opportunity to be amazed. Instead of pulling a rabbit out of a hat, we create shows that will bring guests on stage and have them amazed and impressed. I can curate the show for any special moments that you would like to include.
