We had an amazing experience with Elkridge Furnace Inn (EFI)! From our initial communications up to our wedding day, EFI was responsive, attentive, and professional. We had a bit of turnover with our wedding coordinator from our initial booking to our event, but EFI kept us apprised of the changes and made sure the transition was as smooth as possible. Sarah and Julia were fantastic to work with and we appreciated their attention to detail throughout the process. We had so much fun at our cake and food tastings with Chef Dan and enjoyed hearing how much our guests loved the food and ambience of the venue. Sarah also worked with us to have string lights in the tent and they helped make the space even more inviting and beautiful. The team was also great in making sure we stayed on schedule, helping us set up/tear down decorations, and ensuring our exit was as stress-free as possible. We really appreciate everything Chef Dan, Sarah, and the whole EFI team did to make our day so special and would highly recommend them to others! More...

The seafood crepe was very good and my associate's corn beef sandwich was good as well. The server could have been friendlier and may have been the only server in the restaurant that day. It is a great change from other restaurants in the area and love the historic nature of the inn. More...

Definitely a unique experience. Elkridge Furnace Inn has been on my radar for the last 5 years but just never ended up visiting for one reason or another. Set in the inn of 1744(incredibly) on what is unassumingly 13 acres of land that the restaurant is using for creating one of the most (if not the most) farm to table experience in the locale of Baltimore. They're growing their own figs, mushrooms, all kinds of delights and the owner/chef is also a licensed butcher which just adds to the from scratch mystique - including their use of local farms for what they can't do themselves.Service was top notch, friendly, quirky, and witty made it seem like we'd been dining their for years(some of our fellow patrons had and the whole staff knew them all by name). We were absolutely the youngest couple there, I'd say the average age was 50+.Food was interesting, rich, and definitely had a home made vibe to it. The pork chop is my favorite of all time, perfectly cooked, a nice crunchy exterior, expertly seasoned - definitely memorable. The prosciutto wrapped figs were outstanding as well, sweet, tangy, meaty, and creamy.Everything else didn't fall short necessarily, just didn't impress us. We'll pass on the rest of the fall season and likely return in spring/end of winter to try their other seasonal offerings.Cocktails were mostly alcohol in flavor, the interesting sounding ingredients didn't mesh well with the liquors - if we return I'd likely get a scotch neat. We were looking for a unique dining experience in a property with history. The Elkridge Furnace Inn appeared as a possibility. After reviewing the website we decided to give it a try. Executive Chef/owner, Daniel Wecker met us at the door and agreed to create a vegan entree for me. After asking about my favorite vegetables (grown on site) he presented a beautiful, nutritious, delicious meal. Everyone in our party of six was impressed with the quality of the food and service. The property is beautifully restored and Daniel came to our table to share his knowledge about the property and its role in Baltimore history. We felt welcome and at home. I'm looking forward to my next visit. More...

I have dealt with the staff at the Elkridge Furnace Inn for two events now and am beyond impressed with their professionalism, flexibility and can-do attitude! I recently collaborated with them as a medium, providing insight and readings during two back-to-back candlelight history/ghost tours of the property. The tours/readings flowed better than I could have imagined, thanks to the superb planning and preparation of Julia, Kate, Ann, Genelle, and Chef! The hors d’oeuvres and cocktails served were equally superb... I can’t wait to celebrate my daughter’s wedding at EF Inn next June! Kudos to the entire polite, friendly and helpful staff! More...

I came here with my good friend and husband for one of the themed teas: "Shades of Green Tea". The event was under one of those nice white tents that you see at weddings sometimes, with a view of their garden. The owner came out in the beginning and gave us all a little history and introduced himself, which was lovely. I really enjoyed trying the various tea flavors at each course, and the theme and foods were all amazing. I would definitely go again. More...

My husband and I got married at EFI two weeks ago and it was absolutely 100% magical. The staff was INCREDIBLE, especially Julia and Sarah! They went above and beyond to make our day perfect! The whole day from start to finish was everything we hoped it would be. The food, the lights, the music and everything else you imagine a perfect wedding being were made possible because of this venue. We love this place and would recommend it to anyone and everyone we know! Thank you all for making it the most magical and wonderful day of both of our lives. More...

What a lovely birthday dinner! The staff went above and beyond to make the evening special, starting with complimentary champagne, and including special chocolate messaging and a candle with our dessert. As always, the food was spectacular - EFI's partnerships with local farms is evident in the quality of the food, which is amazingly fresh and delicious. The staff is extremely friendly, and contributed to a fun night. The chef came and chatted with us twice, which is such a nice touch. Love EFI! More...
