I discovered The Daily WOD around a year ago during the Pandemic.
Mike posted amazing free workouts that were not the generic garbage you find on Instagram. The workouts had an amazing focus and they had a purpose :)

After some months I contacted Mike directly for a Push-ups Pull-ups program and even though he could make it very generic he asked me for my goals, background, etc; and created something very personalized, he was always following up and offered to change the program many times in case it was not for me. I saw good progress but unfortunately, my country is in lockdown again and I could not complete the program but he kindly offered a home workout for me during this time, and is very good!
Mike has amazing customer service and passion for what he does I definitely recommend him and if you want to crush your goals and work with a very dedicated trainer REACH HIM NOW!!

My sister got me onto Mike at The Daily WOD and I’m so appreciative that she did. We’re based in Australia so obviously there is a constant time difference but Mike has always been 110% proactive in answering any questions I have, addressing any concerns I might have when it comes to injury or just needing clarification and always having my workouts planned and set out before I hit the gym the next day.
He’s eased me into workouts and always ensured I’m not killing my self to complete sets/reps but instead ensuring I’m getting the most out of each workout. I have a bad knee which would usually give me grief after being in the gym but after almost 4 weeks I’ve had little to no pain at all even though it’s exercises that would usually aggravate it.
My work schedule can be very unpredictable due to currently completing an apprenticeship but I always make time even if it’s 1 or 2 days later and I always feel super glad I did. Having the workout planned for me makes it less thinking for me and helps with just getting in and getting it done and for the first time in 8 months I actually enjoy going to the gym instead of dreading so that there is a milestone to celebrate for me!

I have been working with Mike D. for a month now. I would highly recommend his services to others. My number one favorite thing about working with Mike is his availability. He is extremely responsive and makes himself available to help me, talk to me, answer my questions whenever I ask. This is very important to me because sometimes I have questions midworkout and it's just nice to not have to wait around for him. The workouts he's made for me are definitely personalized for ME. Whether I'm busy working, tired, spending time with family, I don't feel like completing the workout on a certain day, whatever, he adjusts my routine accordingly for me. I also did not want to purchase a gym membership so he has made my workout program entirely functional from home, which is huge for me. To be honest, I was a little skeptical at first how this would work for me because it's entirely virtual training and the workouts are not conducted live together. However, I gave it a shot and have realized this is actually a dream. It makes it possible for me to complete my workouts completely on my own time, my own schedule, when I feel like it (although Mike assigns my workouts on certain days and I just choose what time I workout on my own). I began taking an interest in Mike and the Daily WOD for his ‘cut the bullshit’ approach and mindset towards training. As someone with a history of trying random/fad nutrition and exercise programs and recently coming out of an unhealthy relationship with crossfit, I was on the hunt for a professional i could partner with to help me with a proper strength training program that would assist me to achieve my goals. Ive been training with Mike only a few weeks now and i can already tell this is a partnership worth keeping! Mike is super approachable and genuinely takes an interest in his clients and checks in with me regularly. If theres something im interested in or an adjustment i need, he jumps straight onto including it for me. And despite being across the other side of the world and 14hrs time difference (Australia here), timezones have been no barrier to communication!

As for his programs, they are challenging and have a great mix of strength and skill work to keep things enjoyable. I look forward to opening our coaching app to see whats coming up! The video examples of each exercise also makes it really easy to understand exactly what i need to do. And with the added challenge of working out at home with minimal equipment during COVID, the exercises are really flexible and offer both a bodyweight or minimal equipment option which can even be further tailored using general items found at home.

I've been using the Daily WOD for a few months now. These have been an excellent collection of exercises, especially during the Covid pandemic when conventional gyms are OOS. I found these workouts to be not only functional but also fun. I have enjoyed seeing what the next workout will be. I'm currently a firefighter and have brought a few individuals on my shift to also use these workouts. I highly recommend it! More...

I've been using Mike Decker as my trainer since September of 2019. In addition to providing customized workouts, Mike has provided support with nutrition and workouts geared towards recovery from an injury and surgery. Mike provides valuable feedback and creates a workout schedule that is flexible to the needs of his clients. By providing with programs that are long term sustainable while also building the habit to make fitness apart of their life and something they truly enjoy! My goal with each client is to have them build a foundation so that what they are doing becomes a part of their routine. It doesn't matter if you start out doing one day a week or three days a week. Or if you are hitting every workout or you miss some in the beginning, I take things one day at a time one workout at a time to help you reach your goals.

Finding an approach that is truly fits your life, while yes adjustments might need to be made to fit a workout in or eat better that shouldn't make you change your entire life to fit them in. When fitness is able to integrate into your life and cause as little disruption as possible you can maintain this approach and reach your goals much easier.

I love seeing a client who might have thought they could never do a certain movement or have the knowledge and confidence in that gym gain the all of these. I love knowing that no matter how long a client is with me that I was able to make an impact on their life.

I worked in two gym previously and saw that the fitness industry was missing coaches that were not only knowledgeable, caring but also willing to share their ups and downs they have experienced in their fitness journey along the way. I think it is so important to let clients know that we go through the same experiences as them and it doesn't make a trainer less than any other.

A client should pick me because it is a team effort when they have me as their trainer, I am here to make sure that you succeed. As well as a trainer who will always continue to further his education with new and updated information to provide clients with the best possible program.

Yes! all of my training takes place remotely. Clients will be given their own profile on an app called CoachRx, on this app all of their workouts will be posted weekly. Along with example videos, feedback from me, detailed notes regarding the workouts and access to me via messages on the app.

All my training is done remotely and will continue to be for the future.

Services

It is training where your workouts will be delivered to your phone via the CoachRx app with example videos, details notes going over the training, a workout-specific warm-up, and feedback/cues to remember for any recorded exercises from the previous week.
