Ariel made our dream wedding come true! We live out of town and she met with us several times when we wanted to see the venue on short notice. Our stay at the Bryan house was amazing! this place is the most beautiful place I have ever been to the house is a beautiful 2 story historical gem with the most charming decor. The hostess is so accommodating and ver sweet the breakfast we received in the morning was I best breakfast I've ever ate . I have the pleasure of staying here for a weekend. It is a beautiful home that is well kept. The grounds could use a slight clean up from the plants around it, but otherwise it’s very green and lit nicely. The bed downstairs is firm and the one upstairs is soft. Upstairs is HOT as the unit seems to be mostly downstairs (but there is cooling vents; it’s just the thermostat needs to be at 65 for upstairs to be tolerable during the hotter days).Breakfast was hand made and delicious using local ingredients but I was disappointed. This place was sold as a venue with a bed and breakfast and while it was that, the expectation for breakfast was not met. I assumed there would be choices, a smorgasbords of sort, but it was definitely enough food so just my own personal opinion. I would highly recommend this place is your budget isn’t tight. More...

First of all Ariel is a great owner! She is so sweet and helpful with anything and everything. The venue itself is very flexible in which I was able to choose my own vendors for every detail, Ariel has some great connections and can point you in the right direction for anything you need though! The location is gorgeous. Not your typical RGV outdoor wedding filled with palm trees. The big added bonus is the with the beautiful greenery everywhere, you don’t have to get so many flowers and work so hard on decor! More...

If you're a burger or a butterfly lover this is a great place to stay. Close to Bentsen State Park and other nature attractions. The grounds are nicely planted with native vegetation that attracts kiskadees, green Jay's and other exotic birds. Friendly landlady can advise you on other places if interest in the area. Had my wedding here this july. Was beautiful and surprisingly not too hot. The owner and hostess Mrs King was truly the best. Very hospitable. Treats all her guests with respect. The beautiful atmosphere and vintage feel is rare to find in the rgv and i would recommend this place for any sort of social event. 100 guests can fit comfortably. I had my wedding there on May 11th, 2018. It was absolutely amazing. The venue was breath taking. My fairytale wedding came true! Ariel was really nice with helping out, making sure I got what I needed. When my husband and I were out of ideas she would always propose some new ones. Was Just there for a tour and food. The food was excellent and the tour was awesome.
