We hired the Beignet Truck for an on set, on location visit, which most times tends to be a hassle more than not. The Beignet Truck was great though. They showed up on time, and landed exactly where we needed them. They were incredibly helpful when it came to changing what time we had them and had a great attitude towards our cast and crew. Tried the beignet truck for the first time and was happy with my order.I love that they offer both powdered sugar and cinnamon sugar beignets.  Because I've only tried beignets with powdered sugar from Cafe Du Monde, I opted for the cinnamon, and it was delicious. They're the perfect size for dessert. I also tried their iced cocoa with whipped cream.  Some people said they thought it tasted like Nesquick, but I thought it had a different spice to it.  Although I couldn't pinpoint the flavor, I did enjoy it.Overall, good food and great customer service.  I'll order from them the next time I see them! I heard of this truck years ago and heard great things, but didn't try the beignets until this weekend. Now I feel sorry that I waited so long! I finally tracked them down using Twitter. THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO! I've made it a Saturday routine to go where the truck is and have some morning beignets! I'm a southern boy and I've finally found some NOLA beignets. The people working it are so nice and they get the goods out in a timely manner so you know it's fresh. We saw this truck after the mass in Monastery of the Angels. They were closing n no beignet anymore but the guy went to the flower shop nearby n recovered a box with 8 warm  beignet n sold it to us for 5$. Omgee omgee!We inhaled it all in one sitting and the new car were filled w powdered sugar, but it was so good! It taste like Cafe Du Monde orig  beignet! Food:Beignets has its origin stemming from the French then later adopted by the folks of New Orleans; it is a rare find in LA.  Freshly made Beignets with its piping hot, airy center and lightly fried outer shell that's coated with sweet powdery crack puts the American donuts to shame any day of the week. Besides the Blue Bayou inside Disney, the Gumbo Pot in Fairfax and Inglewood's Bayou Grill, the Beignet Truck is the fourth place I know in LA that serves good New Orleans beignets [the French beignets are ball-shaped with fillings inside]. Other places the size of the beignets are either too big or, the dough is cold, hard and flavorless (you get no joy from eating something like that trust me). It took a little doing to follow and track down this elusive food truck and frankly it is worth it. A good cup of espresso would go great with the beignets.Price:  The price here is dependent on how many beignets the customer order.  One beignet at $2, pretty expensive.  Three beignets at $5 pretty good deal.  Five beignets for $7 is a great deal considering the quality that's offered here. I found the Beignet truck online while searching for "Dessert" trucks.  Because I love Cafe Du Monde in New Orleans and its hard to find good beignets here in LA, I figured I would give it a try.  I had a beignet with the chocolate dip and was very impressed.  They were just crispy enough on the outside without being overly greasy, and inside they were soft and delicious!  All of the staff was professional yet very personable and you can tell they enjoy what they do.  I asked Chris, owner, if they would cater our wedding for dessert (as a departure from the boring norm of wedding cake).  He was so gracious and easy to work with.  They showed up on time and our guests were so happy to have something different and not to mention SO DELICIOUS as it was a little chilly outside.  This was the perfect end to the night - a toasty beignet with a chicory coffee-YUM!  What a great way to end a night or start a day for that matter!  Thanks Chris and team, you guys rock!  I would recommend them to anyone throwing a party or just looking for some new orleans yummies! Good day my Donuts & Donettes! Did thy ever have one of those days when you just needed a little pick me up? Or as I like to say a magical boost of Dragons might! Well, the Donut Gods granted me the luck of running into the Los Angeles famed "Beignet Truck" which had been setup for the night by my work in Northridge. You can imagine the glee, joy, merriment on my face, as I saw this magical golden glowing truck of doughy glory! Not only do they offer beignets freshly made by bakers who practiced the art for eons, but they brewed chicory coffee! (Both hot and Iced) I could not help but fly and float above the sky and tail spin my way to the order window. The employees within the truck were extremely friendly and warming, like Cinderella's fairy Godmother. I felt so welcomed and relaxed to be around this truck! Now, how were the treats you may ask? Well a one word of "delicious" would not do it justice. I have sampled beignets and chicory coffee back in New Orleans, both at Café Du Monde and Café Beignet, and I proclaim that these treats meet expectations of those shops back on the Bayou. If not meet, I dare say slightly exceed! But those are merely my own tastes, you must be the judge! But be sure to follow this truck on social media, and if you happen to see this beautiful mechanical construction of doughy glory then make sure to take thy sweet bunions onto the direction of this magical vehicle. I haven't had true beignets since I visited New Orleans. But I've had a lot of imitators that are too doughy or thin. These are perfect! !! The iced coffee is so good and the beignets are so light. Today was the best time.  I'm not sure if the guy's name who runs the truck, but he offered to split them half cinnamon sugar, half powdered sugar. So good!!! I recently had a taste of this amazing truck and I have never had anything so delicious!!!! I went last week to pick some up for my film crew as a surprise and they were so thrilled. Let's just say they really loved their makeup artist that day. I ordered two dozen beignets from a girl with awesome green hair and she took my order promptly. I also ordered some dipping sauces (chocolate and caramel) which were $1 extra. It was a total $30 for 24 beignets, so that wasn't bad. The customer service was great. The girl that helped me also informed me that they are there (Franklin and Western, behind the flower shop) every Saturday morning so I will definitely be going back to this food truck! More...

I do not really like to eat sweets, before I didn't know what in Gods green earth a Beignet was. I actually have a really strict diet, but it all goes to hell when I see them on Thursdays at the Arts District farmers market. It's worth it to try especially with the dark chocolate sauce. Seriously! Made to order, these beignets are simply delightful. They don't go into the fryer until you order them, so every piece is hot and perfectly coated with powered sugar.
