I thoroughly enjoyed my meal at Tastebud Temptations! The dinner choices of home made favorites such as steak fingers, green bean casserole, mac & cheese and chicken fried chicken (or steak) made for a difficult decision. While tonight's choices (the steak fingers) were not calorie conscious (cheat day!) They were well seasoned, crunchy and delicious. The menu provides a selection for most tastes and appetites. The grilled vegetable medley served with my companions daily special, grilled sausage, was fresh, crisp and delectable. His mashed potatoes well seasoned and mashed perfectly. This restaurant is a clean and quaint family owned and operated restaurant. They have delicious, fresh food, with large and filling portions. Priced reasonably with excellent service. The chicken fried chicken was a crispy golden brown without any greasiness, the sides of mashed potatoes and green bean casserole were flavorful and large. The catfish, that my husband ordered, tasted very fresh and was not greasy at all. I would totally recommend stopping by for lunch or on a Friday night for dinner. Went in to try the chicken friend steak but got the special because it sounded so good. It was amazing. It was my first time trying a herb glazed loin.  Not many places even use fresh peppers. First off, I have to say--- I always love to support a small locally-owned business run by real people, not corporations, and TT is definitely that. The staff were all very sweet, our waitress was very attentive and kind (and played with my toddler!) and the owner, Tracy, came by our table personally to check on us, discuss menu items, and ask how everything was. We felt very well taken care of.The place is pretty big, but we were the only people in there on a Wednesday evening at dinnertime. We ordered the chicken fried steak with green bean casserole and mashed potatoes. Everything is fresh and made from scratch, including all gravies and salad dressings. They had a nice-looking salad bar with a lot of fresh toppings on it, which you can get a la carte or add to your meal for like $3. Our portions were really large, especially the mashed potatoes, and they came with slabs of garlic bread. My roommate is all about southern/soul food so we were really excited. The batter on the chicken fried steak was perfectly crunchy and well-seasoned, very nice. The meat itself was a little salty, as were the mashed potatoes, but the gravy was spot-on. The only real 'complaint' I had was the green bean casserole, it definitely needed something. Some kind of kick or spice, or melted cheese or something, it was sort of bland. But everything else was really good and the price was great, less than $10 a person plus our drinks. We had plenty of leftovers and the menu has a lot of variety, including things like bacon-wrapped meatloaf, pork chops, philly cheesesteak, etc. We'll definitely be back and I hope they're here for a long while.
