What do you love most about your job?
I love working with people and their dogs. Each person has a unique relationship with their dog. I consider it my honor to be invited into that relationship to help build a stronger human-animal bond through better communication by training.
Why should our clients choose you?
I use positive reinforcement methods to help you train your dog. This method strengthens the human-animal bond and builds easy communication between you and your dog. I find it very important to set training goals and celebrate the small successes on the way to reaching the goal. It's also important to have fun and smile in our lessons. That's good for the dog and good for the humans! I love helping humans train their dogs!
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
At Bark, I provide remote dog training exclusively. Training remotely has benefits over working in person. For example, many times when I am with an owner and their dog in person, the dog behaves differently, usually much better if we are working on problem behavior. Another benefit of training remotely is that people build stronger training skills because they have to listen and follow my directions more closely. There are some behaviors such as housetraining which is more a matter of my coaching the management of the dog's behavior. This is true of separation issues, as well as, many other behaviors issues.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I have been training both remotely and in-person during the Covid-19 pandemic. Since we will be working remotely there are no worries about Covid-19!
Remote, Real Time, Dog Training
Join me for a remote dog training lesson online. These lessons are great for puppies and adult dogs. Lessons are private and are either 30 minutes or 1 hour. At the end of the lesson, you will receive a follow-up email with notes about what we covered.
The format of the lessons starts with questions, setting a goal, a short lecture explaining what's needed, and the training techniques. Next, a quick demo, and then I will coach you as you train your dog.
I recommend remote training for dog owners with a variety of training needs from puppy shopping and preparation to safety and living arrangements for blind senior dogs.
* Online training can help with stopping problem behaviors such as puppy nipping, jumping, housetraining, separation issues, and others.
* Prevention of separation issues for puppies and newly adopted dogs.
* Helping you and your new puppy or dog with making the transition to their forever home.
BARK INTRODUCTORY Hourly Rates
60 minutes is $70 and a 30-minute follow-up is $35
*The first lesson must be scheduled for 60 minutes.

Just like a human infant your puppy's brain and body are in an accelerated period of growth during this early stage of their life. Training at this time will set them up to be amazing adult dogs. At about 8 to 18 weeks of age, puppies are primed for bonding to animals and individuals, for learning that objects, people, and environments are safe, and for learning what the body cues and signals of others mean. Besides socialization, at this age, your puppy is mature enough to begin basic training. This not only teaches them basic obedience and manners but also how to learn. Introducing Positive Reinforcement Methods to your puppy will help them experience learning in this paradigm as second nature, which will serve them well throughout their lifetime.

If you adopted an adult dog or just want to train your adult dog you have come to the right place. Your dog can learn obedience and manners or address problem behaviors at any age. Often times rescue dogs have a bit of trouble adjusting to their new home. We can help with that and be there to support you through the initial transition period. If you have just moved or have a change in your living situation we can help with that as well. Senior dogs can develop health-related issues, such as blindness we can help with management and other techniques.
