Talitha Tarro Photography

Its hard to believe that it's been almost a year since Talitha shot our wedding (sorry, Talitha the review is so late!). She popped up on a number of lists as one of Albuquerques best photographers; but really we had looked at her from the beginning. My now husband had gone to college in Albuquerque with Talitha (Go Lobos!) and she loved cats. So clearly, she was going to be amazing.Although Dan and I met when I lived in Albuquerque (he was born and raised there, I am from Colorado), we had moved away and were living in Ohio. We always knew we would be back in NM for our wedding though and that we would need someone local to help make the most of the short time we would be in town for our wedding in October 2018.Talitha was SO GREAT-we had a number of phone calls prior to the day to discuss what we wanted, what was more or less important to us and to review all the details. She worked with our day of coordinator and our venue seamlessly; which was fantastic: planning a wedding from 2000 miles away is stressful. The day of the wedding she and her assistant were wonderful - neither my husband or I particularly likes to be the center of attention, but Talitha made it all so easy and so much fun! And then, at the end of it all, we got some truly amazing photos. There aren't words to describe how much I love the pictures we got from that day.I am already trying to plan another reason to hire Talitha to take more photos of us! Talitha photographed our elopement and was fantastic from start to finish. Both my husband and I tend to be uncomfortable in front of a camera but not so with Talitha. It wasn't that she was invisible, she was actually a really important part of our day and our small ceremony. Talitha is an artist. We were drawn to her photos because each one is beautifully thought out, shot, and edited. She doesn't have the intagrammy style that is popular these days - which to me, looks like a blanket filter put on every photo some wedding photographers take. Each photo of hers could stand alone as a piece of art in your home, yet she still has a style all her own that looks cohesive and beautiful in an album or on a gallery wall. Talitha is Awesome and her work is amazing. The first time we used Talitha was about 7 years ago. My husband and I have a deal that we do professional family photos every 5 years. We recently had another photo session with Talitha for our 5 year "photo-versary" and she did not disappoint (and she even remembered us after all that time-BONUS!). I love that no matter the setting, she finds great places to get the best shots. She's very down to earth, literally, she will get down on the ground if need be or climb a hill or giant rock to get that perfect picture. Her wedding photography is stunning, but she does so much more than that. Once you work with her, you will want to use her for all your life events and will be happy you did. Talitha photographed our small wedding out in the desert in New Mexico. She was a pleasure to work with - super professional, organized, thoughtful, and responsive. Also her photos are GORGEOUS! We are so pleased. We worked remotely together about the design and feeling of the photos and she captured the look we were going for perfectly. We had Talitha shoot our engagement and our wedding photos. She is professional, unobtrusive, quiet, and creative in her photo composition.
