I absolutely loved the cake that Kay made for my going away party. She did a wonderful job not only on the taste of the cake but the aesthetic of the cake. My theme was ‘travel’ so I requested a luggage cake be made and it looked amazing! She even made a base for the cake and she didn’t have to do that! She made sure the cake was set up to be easily transported and even helped by carrying it to the car for me! I’d highly recommend Take the Cake by Kay to anyone! More...

The cake tasted as amazing as it looked and was exactly what we had discussed. EVERYONE loved it and thats the bad part- we didn't have enough left over and now I am craving more! We ignored the people that told us you didn't have to get cake for every person attending, because some people will leave and some not eat cake. Kay was great to work with. I got a four tiered cake and grooms cake, both looked beautiful not he day of the wedding and were exactly what we envisioned. After the wedding we didn't have any cake left and we had even ordered over the amount we needed. We received so many compliments on the cake design and favor we chose. Kay from Take the Cake was wonderful to work with. We were in town for a very busy wedding planning weekend, and she squeezed us in for a 9am cake tasting on Memorial Day! Our wedding cake and groom's cake turned out so well! I heard so many compliments on the look of the cakes and the taste! People can be harsh critics of cake, so I took that as a great sign. The bites that I had during the cutting portion were delicious. We gave Kay a picture and she took what we gave and made the cake look even better! Every picture I have seen of it looks amazing. The groom's cake was so fun (it was a New Orleans Saints jersey with our last name on it) and all of the New Orleans guests really loved it! My cake lady cancelled two months before the wedding. Kay was able to juggling my wedding and another wedding on the same day. She works out of her home but has dozens of years of experience. She was very professional and gosh darn-- that is some GOOD CAKE! Not only that, but my cake was gorgeous--- very sophisticated and covered in jewels and intricate piping.

My wedding cake turned out fantastic! It was beautiful and exactly what I was thinking. The tasting was fun and the owner helped me pick out a cake design that fit my overall vintage theme.
