Our Nixon is a mixed terrier who's very active.  He's been going to Tails for a while and they take very good care of him whether it's just for day care or boarding.  He's a jumper and I know a handful at times yet they manage to keep him calm and within his boundaries.  I like the fact that we can check on Nixon with the webcams too.  They're also very accommodating with my last minute requests with reservations for Nixon.  I would recommend Tails of Hawaii to anyone who's looking for a place for their pets if needed.  Thank u for all that you to to help take care of Nixon. I’ve taken my dog to several places for grooming and Tails of HI has been by far the best place! The staff is attentive, kind and always gets back to me if they are busy over the phone. As far as grooming goes, Riley is exceptional, super sweet and always has smile on her face. She really listens and suggests the best cut for my standard poodle. We take both of our dogs here for Boarding anytime we are out of town… They always do an awesome job and everything is always fairly clean and sanitary… The dogs always come home happy and looking healthy… There’s no one better than Tails Of Hawaii....

There is no other place that we would leave our beloved Cheddar Cheese than Tails of Hawaii.  They are responsible and so respectful of him.  Cheddar is a weekly Wednesday customer.  Every Wednesday he is so excited to go spend the day with his friends.  When we travel, we can view him on the webcam and watch him interact with staff and his paw friends.  Cheddar is well taken care of and because of this reason, we highly recommend Tails of Hawaii. We've taken our two dogs here for the past year.  Last we had to go for a 6 day trip... and TOH is convenient being close to the airport.  But the semi-industrial area they are located is really crappy (minus 1 star).  Otherwise, the facility is fine and our dogs are sooo exhausted from all of the activities and playing with other dogs.  Staff are very pleasant and they allow our dogs sleep together (but during the day they're separated because of their size).  The only other drag is how often they need the one bordella (sp?) immunization shot.  Just make sure all of their shots are all good before your pets' stay. I'm very grateful for the services that Tails provides. The staff are all friendly, efficient, and quick to help in the event that I have questions. They have been very accommodating when I have had to drop Snooks without warning, which has happened a couple of times due to my husband's health.It took a little time for Snooks to get used to staying there, but they are very patient, and I have seen a steady improvement in Snooky's comfort level.The webcams were a huge draw for me, and I have not been disappointed. Being able to check in periodically and actually see Snooks interacting with the staff and the other dogs is quite reassuring.I was reminded again today how good a job they do on grooming. When I accepted a job in Kauai to move from the mainland I had no idea the hardest part would be bringing our big, beloved family dog. No way I was leaving him behind. After months of nerve wracking calls and frustrating research with multiple pet companies, licensers, airlines telling me conflicting things, or blowing me off, I started to doubt we could make the move at all. Scary reviews of flaky or mean handlers, self designated "pet shippers" who may have never been anywhere near Hawaii, quoting crazy prices,  etc. Then someone at Aloha Air suggested Tails. Life. We used to bring our dog to Tails weekly until we started a job where we could bring him to work.It’s been over 8 years since we’ve been back. We are going on a trip and there is only one place we would comfortable bringing him to board. Especially now that he’s a senior dog. We had to do a re-evaluation, so we brought him in. And it’s like we’ve never been gone. The staff is fantastic. They are dog people. There wasn’t one dog who wasn’t excited to see them and the staff was just as happy to see the dogs.We know our dog will be in great hands at Tails while we are on our vacation. We relocated to Oahu from the mainland and our pets arrived before us. The Tails team picked them up from the airport and kept the dogs in boarding until we arrived and found a place to live. With so many moving parts in moving we are so appreciative to Tails of Hawaii. They were extremely flexible, as we kept having to change the dogs flight and boarding reservation. They were able to store the dogs kennels until we picked them up and this was included in the price.Prior to the stay I was quoted two rates based on the dogs being social or nonsocial, which was the icing on the cake. Mimi has never allowed me to trim her nails. Initially, I took her to Petco and paid approx. $25 for trim and file. Here at Tails of Hawaii, it’s $10 plus tax for a trim and file. Groomers are always good to her, so much so that she is always excited when I park, and she goes willingly with the groomer. The Mapunapuna is close to home. A great deal & awesome service! More...

Always helpful and cheerful, the staff is terrific. I often forget to make regular appointments for our pet’s nail trim and don’t remember until the last minute—but they always manage to squeeze me in without hassle. We put our Hanalei there for 10 days! Their staff took great care of her! Gave her, her meds everyday and Hana loved the play time and staff. We were able to see her on their camera everyday too! And that was Comforting to see her from so far away!
