After tasting many of Heather's cakes throughout the school year I knew I had to have her do the desserts for my wedding. I had no idea how professional and above and beyond she would go . We decided on a small red velvet wedding cake and then 6 mini desserts. She gave great advice as to what mini desserts go well together and brought us tons of samples! For the wedding she set up the dessert table beautifully and then Heather even came back at the end of the night to box up leftover treats for our guests. Everyone raved about the desserts and we couldn't have been happier! (plus the prices were great too!) I met Heather almost a year and a half ago at a Bridal show, going to her booth was the best thing I did. The fact that she doesn't see birthday cakes and wedding cakes as a different in price is amazing. Literally changing happy birthday to congratulations is wonderful.

Since my family is from the west coast we thought it would be fun to add a special treat to their welcome bags... chocolate covered pretzels. Unfortunately thanks to hurricane Matthew only 7 members got to try these delicious pretzels. But those that did, thought they were tasty! Even to the point of ordering a special batch from Heather to my grandma for Christmas from myself and my husband. Heather was SO accommodating with this order!!

And then, our wedding cake. After being reschedule from the hurricane, Heather made us a beautiful three tiered BIRCH TREE cake!! It fit perfectly with our theme and I had many guests saying that was "so us"!! It was great! Bottom tiers were red velvet (for my husband) and the top tier fun funfetti(my favorite) ! Great combo! With the cinnamon brown butter cream cheese frosting, sweet but not too sweet!

We will be ordering birthday January cupcakes for ourselves. Our absolute go to baker in Charleston. highly recommend Heather and her bakery. We hope you take our recommendation and enjoy her sweets and treats too.

This review is long overdue. I had a 6" cake and cupcakes for my wedding. We had the carrot cake with brown sugar buttercream for the cake and chocolate cupcakes with cookies and cream icing for the cupcakes. They were all delicious and our guests couldn't stop raving about how delicious they were. Heather was amazing and even worked with my dietary restrictions. Heather is so easy to work with and went above and beyond to create my vision for my wedding cake!!! I really wanted edible gold sequins which is hard to find, but she made it happen! !! We got married on Memorial Day weekend at Medicine Wind Farm and we were going for a more casual, rustic Southern style wedding. Our planner Felita Pinckney suggested Heather Greene’s Sweet Southern Bella’s Bakery and organized some samples for us. We narrowed down the flavors we liked and decided to attend one of Heather’s proper cake tastings at her house. I can’t remember how many mini-cupcakes I ate that day but I sure left with a sugar high. They were all so good! Heather came up with some great ideas for our wedding and had many great suggestions. She is the sweetest, most upbeat person you’ll ever meet and also supports military with a generous discount, which was really nice to find out. Her cakes are super soft and moist, not too sweet - simply perfect. For my Bridal Shower my MOH got a Vanilla cake with Strawberry frosting all the ladies were raving about. I ordered a Grooms cake for our bachelor / ette with camo-print on the outside (hubby is an Army Infantry Sergeant) and his favorite Strawberry cake inside. My MIL ordered a Hummingbird cake for the welcome party she threw us and it was equally as delicious. We decided on an anniversary tier with cupcakes and our signature flavor was Sweet Tea Firefly - this will be my most favorite cake flavor for years to come. We also had Jack Daniels cupcakes, Vanilla, Strawberry and Red Velvet. One thing I particularly like about Heather’s business is that she suggests to not actually freeze and then eat old cake on your first anniversary; she actually includes her “cake in a jar” for both bride and groom for your first anniversary! That way you get fresh cake and can reminisce about your wedding day while devouring the very same cake flavour again. I simply adore this idea. Very unique. Mark and I got married on November 4, 2017 at Medicine Wind Farms in Summerville SC. We have to give a shout out to the best team of vendors ever! Literally everyone worked flawlessly together to make our day absolutely magical. Heather Green with Sweet Southern Bella’s Bakery hit our sweet tooth with style! I don’t often write reviews so this is a big deal. Heather did cupcakes for my wedding a year and a half ago and she was great. Very accommodating, very sweet and super affordable. I cannot say enough about how amazing her cupcakes are! My wife and I agree that the only thing we regret about our wedding order is that we didn’t order tons more! They were a hit. Disappeared super quick! Fast forward to now; we had our anniversary “Jar Cakes” from Heather recently and I have now found my ALL TIME FAVORITE dessert in the entire world. If you are a lover of Key Lime Pie, as I am, then this is what you need. It is perfection. Plain and simple. We will certainly be placing orders from her in the future!
