Scam artist!!! Please be careful with this women! I went in for maternity photo shoot at 37 weeks pregnant, it took forever, I was so tired up my feet and I was not happy with any of the photos, when I mentioned it to her she send me 5 pages long text and told me I was ignorant, I didn’t know nothing about photos or photography! And I have an odd taste compared to her other clients! But how it is fair to me I paid her all cash upon arrival, I am not a professional so I went to her and paid her for her work assuming she would do what I wanted! Being a first time mom, it was so special to me but she ruined it for me and had to deal with all that crap 39,40 weeks pregnant! plus I still have not gotten the print she promised me and I already have the baby 2 weeks old ! So it was very unpleasant for me,had the worst experience and I don’t trust anyone now! And I am still doing back and forth with her! More...

I understand your dissatisfaction, and I want to sincerely apologize for any misunderstanding during your experience with us. It seems there may have been some confusion regarding certain aspects of our service, and I’d like to address each concern you’ve raised. Firstly, regarding the duration of the shoot and the number of outfits, our initial agreement outlined one change of outfit and background within the two-hour timeframe. Despite this, I made accommodations for your preferences and provided additional shooting time beyond what was initially agreed upon. I specifically asked you after the original shooting time had passed if you “wanted to continue, before you look tired. Your response was, “Oh no, I am okay I just need a short break”. So gave you additional of my time in order to try and accommodate you and your desire to wear 5 different outfits. Regarding the payment process, it’s standard practice in the industry to require a deposit at the time of booking to secure the appointment, with the remaining balance due on the day of the shoot. This policy is in place to ensure fairness to both parties involved and to protect the photographer’s time and resources. As for the issue of prints, it’s important to clarify that the fee you paid covers the photography session, editing, and retouching services. Prints are available for purchase separately, as is the standard practice in many photography studios. However, as a gesture of goodwill, I provided you with complimentary prints to express my regret for any confusion that may have arisen. I want to assure you that my intentions were to provide you with the best possible experience and results. I value your feedback and am committed to addressing any concerns you may have. Please feel free to reach out to me directly to discuss this matter further and find a resolution that is satisfactory to you.

Lisa put us all at ease and made the shoot FUN even with 4 small uncooperative children she guided us gracefully through the entire sitting with fresh posing (we do this every year so I have seen them all by now) I actually have just started a small online store and I’m planning on using Lisa to do all my commercial photography as well I have been both impressed and pleased with her talent so far.

What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Lighting, composition and paying attention to details. With the proper combination of all three you direct the viewers eye right “around the compositin using placement and lighting to have them start and finish at the subject”. Lighting itself is all powerful displaying the subject in everything from soft even overhead light to a more dramatic directional lighting pattern setting the mood “as well as” directing the viewers attention where you want it.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
Type of photography needed and a good description of the subject and their goals for it and the photos. Discuss backrounds and other specific ideas they either have in mind or must haves for their purposes. Discuss any ideas I may have for them. Try to estimate as closely as possible how many hours it will take me and give out a “quote” for the assignment.
What do you love most about your job?
Everything!!! I love both styling and shooting for well over three decades, and even LOVE teaching the subject since ‘98, Photography and it shows. I just love everything about it… After 35yrs and still not bored, lol, that speaks volumes.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Desire for total “Creative Freedom”. By eliminating both the photo stylist and the art Director, I then replace them with both my own design knowledge and experience, of which I have plenty rest assured. I am simply an artist at heart.
