I had such a wonderful experience here! Not only was the cake hand delivered but she just about nailed the inspiration photo. I had compliments from my entire family and even my mother, who is ultra picky about how a cake tastes, commented on how wonderful the cake tasted. Moist and delicious. I needed a cake for my divorce party and I needed gluten free for my girlfriend and one of my friends. First, Vanessa is extremely communicative. She is quick to respond, listens carefully to your requests, and is very happy and positive about her work. Second, her cake was GORGEOUS! It was exactly what we wanted and I just couldn't take my eyes off of it. Third, it was so delicious!!!! We had a chocolate cake with a chocolate mousse filling and buttercream frosting and it was topped with homemade macaroons! I can not say enough about how decadent and incredible it was. The added bonus was my entire party was able to partake as the entire thing, even the macaroons, were gluten free. Fourth, Vanessa is extremely affordable! Vanessa was such a joy to work with!! I asked her to make a cake for my Grandmothers 75th Birthday. I was kind of vague on what I wanted, but Vanessa somehow read my mind and made me the most beautiful cake! It exceeded my expectations! She was very prompt to reply to all my texts and answered all my questions. My grandma cried when she saw the cake and then we were all blown away after we tasted it! We thought "surely a cake this beautiful cannot taste good." We were so wrong! I ordered yellow cake with fudge in between and the buttercream frosting. Everyone said it was the best cake they'd ever had! Moist and delish! And you can't beat her prices. I called around to 6 bakeries in the valley and Vanessa was by far, the least expensive. Vanessa is my go-to baker since my first order back in November 2018 for a series of Baby Showers. Then again for a Christmas Party and most recently my son’s Birthday - Everybody enjoyed the moist airy decadent chocolate cake with dark chocolate filling We had no left overs. And she designed it exactly like the way I requested. The colors were perfect. It’s rare to find a reasonably priced baker who aces in both design and taste. We just had a party and I reached out to Sugar and Lace Bakery to help with our sweets. I let Vanessa know what I was hoping for to complete the dessert portion of our party. I am not usually the type to leave the designs in someone else’s hands but I could tell Vanessa knew what she was doing...I am so happy that I did! She made the most amazing cupcakes and macaroons that fit our theme perfectly (they were nutcrackers and ballet shoes for our movie party The Nutcracker)! Not only did they look beautiful, they tasted even more amazing than they looked! If I could give Vanessa more than five stars I would! I am so thrilled with her, her work, and her delicious desserts.
