Great sandwiches. Been wanting to try this spot out and it didn't disappoint. The Abilene is killer or any of the colorado beef sandwiches. I always like sandwich places that spice things up with interesting combinations of ingredients. Everything I've tried has been very good, one of my favorites is the Mile High Turkey sandwich. The staff are personable and fun, never had an issue with them. Deciding between this place and snarf's is sometimes hard, Snarf's presents some fierce competition for them. At the end of the day though, Snarf's doesn't have many of the interesting and creative sandwiches that this shop has. You might just find your perfect sandwich here! My only complaint is that it can be a bit expensive, especially if you want a full size sandwich and a drink. Probably par for the course in a downtown area though. More...

Pretty darn good. Had:1- a hot roast beef, w/ horsee radish, cheese, let, tom, onion.2- meatball w/ mozzarella and red sauce, 3- mushroom soup4- caesar salad. Hot beef - good, but could have been tastier if seasoned better. Meatball - very good, tasty balls.Mushroom soup - exceptional !! Better than you might get in a fine dining establishment.Caesar salad - good, but the slices of mystery cheese was kind of weird. Dressing is good and the lettuce and tomatoes were fresh and plentiful. The garlic bread was a bit disappointing, not so tasty...half of the roll didn't have any seasoning/garlic/butter. Alright first off.....understand I'm not just "some guy"......okay? I know sandwiches....like I know them.....the most accurate way I can describe it is that I see sandwiches how Neo sees the matrix. Do not question me on this subject, if you do not inherently understand, you never will. Now....on the subject of subculture.......this sandwich shop is quite out of the ordinary (4 part breakdown....) 1) In terms of menu and in terms of actual quality. SubCulture is a fine sandwich shop, using fresh and local ingredients to create classic subs as well as their own inventive variations. My daughter brought me here once for lunch, just before she moved away from town. The memory of that occasion is slightly bittersweet, but the shop itself is a great place. SubCulture offers a wide range of creatively-conceived sandwiches. There are vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. There are Boylan's sodas and Boulder Chips. There are salad dressings made from scratch, and high-quality, slow-cooked roast beef and pork, and even breakfast subs, too. This is a contemporary sub shop, then, in the best sense of the word. Here’s the thing I really like, as my daughter predicted: there’s a superhero and comic-book vibe in the place! Love Subculture! I order them multiple times a week for my office and we've started to time delivery as it comes so QUICKLY! The delivery guy is awesome, polite and can carry 20+ orders all on his bike. Their sandwich quality has been consistent for years. Fantastic sandwich shop with a large menu of vegetarian sandwiches that can be made vegan! I got the Bangkok and it was delicious. The bread was awesomely crispy. Most of the veggie sandwiches are made with tempeh which isn't my favorite meat sub but they made it taste really good. Creative vegan sammies are fairly rare so I was really stoked to find this place! Surprised to report that they serve cocktails here (in addition to beer). Great gluten-free sub! They were very quick with my takeout order from online, and they even ran my order out to me when they saw me standing outside with my dog. My only complaint is that it was hard to tell which sandwiches were gluten-free on the site. Sometimes sauces have gluten in them, especially bbq sauce, but I couldn't find a listing of what was safe for me. Little "GF" tags on the menu or a separate listing of gluten-free sandwiches would be awesome. Also note that if you call, you need to dial "1#" to reach someone, not just "1". THE place for a sandwich in the Denver area. First of all, if you think of any possible sandwich combination, there is a really solid chance you'll either be able to find it on the extensive menu here or get as close as anywhere else in the city. Second, most of their food - meats, in particular - are made in-house, leading to flavors that are hard to come by at lesser sandwich shops.
