As someone who thinks she can do it all, I was reluctant to hire an interior designer. But when we bought our historic condo in Boston’s South End, it came with some interesting quirks that called for a professional. Jackie was able to come into our condo and give us multiple layouts that I never would have thought of myself! She really worked with me to point me in the right direction for rooms I had a clear vision for, and then also create a from scratch design on rooms where I was clueless. Whether you are starting from nothing, or just need help figuring out the last little pieces, I can’t recommend Jackie enough! More...

What’s your interior design process?
Every project begins with a consultation where we discuss the scope of work, the client's tastes and aesthetic vision, the desired budget, and agreed upon timeline for the project. A proposal is then drafted and sent to the client which outlines the project scope, schedule of deliverables and fees. From there, we review architecture plans or make a site visit to assess the current condition, take field measurements and site photos. We discuss the functions the space needs to fulfill and the client's preferred design style. We then dive into the multi-step process of design, client presentation, specification, construction documentation, procurement and finally the installation of furnishings and accessories. These steps are based on the scope of work required, and will vary on a project by project basis.
Which interior design styles can you cater for?
Any! I work with each of my clients individually to uncover and then elevate their stylistic preferences. For me, it's most important that each project has a common thread woven through them that seamlessly incorporates both the client's tastes and my overall vision.
What do you love most about your job?
The creative process of uncovering the final product. I'm fascinated by the never ending list of possibilities that come from studying an existing environment, factoring a client's needs alongside their tastes and functional requirements, and then creating from scratch, something inspiring and uncommon that we both absolutely love.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I've been working professionally as an Interior Designer in New York City since 2016 - first at a large architecture firm, then a small boutique interior design studio, and finally at a real estate technology start-up where I designed and managed the construction of hundreds of co-living residences across five major cities. I had gotten to the point where I had such an expansive portfolio, but none of the work was technically "mine." I enjoy this process so much, I finally felt I had built the knowledge and experience to run alongside my passion.
Why should our clients choose you?
I'm able to do interior architectural design in-house, working directly with the builder, so in the case of most residential projects, bringing in an architect isn't necessary. My processes and systems make clients feel comfortable and taken care of, no one is ever left in the dark about their project. I'm guided by a genuine love and fascination for this field. My goal is to bring about the best possible result for the most people involved. Plus we'll have a great time while we do it, because at the end of the day, it's just design and it doesn't have to be that serious!
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
This is completely dependent on the scope of your project, but if at all possible, I prefer to make at least one site visit.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I am fully vaccinated and always wear a mask when in the presence of clients and contractors.
