Liz is amazing! I was really looking for a DJ when my friend referred me to her husband Steve. She mentioned that his wife, Liz was a wedding planner too. But I never thought I could afford a planner and figured with the help of my mom, we could do a bunch of stuff on our own. I was so wrong, looking back, I can't imagine going it alone. From referrals to props, Liz has it all. She's super helpful in every aspect, wether it was planning or calming my fears, I could rely on her. My wedding was over a month ago and people are still talking about how much fun they had. Her photobooth was also a great choice. We got a book with all the pictures and they had so many props! I had the pleasure of knowing Liz since I was a little girl, so too have her be my wedding planner was just awesome. Meeting Steve in the process felt very natural warming and I was amazed on the amount of music knowledge he had he was always full of new ideas that help to make this process a lot easier for us it would really recommend their services to anybody. Their package deal made it even easier, renting photo booth props everything through them and getting referrals for photographers florist. So that everything flowed so easy. We hired them for my wedding which we just had on 9/9/18!! Steven Chacon and his wife Liz was so wonderful they took care of everything they made sure stuff was taking care and they were on top of it, they both made not only my husband and I comfortably but my parents as well. Also, I chose the photo booth they have and it was so much fun with a lot of options for props and Liz was always there making sure everyone took a picture! I want to Thank Steve Chacon Weddings,  Liz and her Amazingly talented Daughter for helping to make my Retirement party really special with their photo booth. Liz and her daughter worked with me to coordinate my party theme and Evite invitation design into the photo frame that each of my 225 guest received when they took a picture at the photo booth. I really loved the Huge memory book I got at the end of the evening which included a copy of each picture which was  placed on 12x12 inch pages that every guest wrote their thoughts and wishes around. Let me start off by saying that if you want your wedding vision to come to life, hire Steve and Liz.  If you want to enjoy your wedding and not have to worry about every little detail, hire Steve and Liz.  They are an amazing couple that work together like the cogs of a wheel.  My daughter KD and her husband Randy just celebrated their one year wedding anniversary yesterday.  Looking back at the photos of that amazing day, I was reminded that I promised to write a review.  KD had a particular vision when she planned her rockabilly themed wedding.  I basically just stepped back and let her do her thing.  Liz was there through the entire journey making suggestions to KD.  When I made suggestions, it was mom nagging her.  When Liz made suggestions, it was professional advice that my daughter listened too.Honestly, I didn't know why KD even needed a wedding planner.  How hard could it be to do it yourself?  Like I said, Liz was there every step of the way, but on the day of the rehearsal, Liz and Steven were already there when I showed up.  KD got married at Crafted in San Pedro. It is a huge, restored warehouse.  When you walk in there, it is completely empty.  Liz and KD were conferring about where the ceremony was going to be, how the chairs and the alter (that KD had created) were to be placed.  Where chairs and tables for dining would be.  Where the bar would go.  I was having trouble envisioning all of this.When I walked in the venue on the day of the wedding, I was completely blown away! The Chacon's, including their daughters, had been there since early in the morning.  Everything was set up and looked just beautiful.  I am pretty good at planning parties and I thought I could handle a lot of the details for KD and help out.  The reality is that the bride and the mother of the bride have so much going on there isn't time to handle these fine little details.  I didn't even realize that until the day of the wedding.  I was so grateful for their help.The Chacon's are always improving their skills and services by taking classes and buying equipment to make their wedding/party planning skills even better.  One memory that will forever be etched in my mind was the story that Steve told of how KD and Randy met.  There were details in that story that I didn't even know!  I had the biggest smile on my face the entire time.  I looked over at my husband, who has been KD's stepfather since she was four, and there were tears running down his cheeks!  I loved the stories that Steven told of each of wedding party members.  They were hilarious and had the entire room laughing! It was the little touches like that (that I never expected), that made the wedding so memorable. When it came time to clean up, friends and family were asking how they could help.  I went up to my daughter and asked what the clean-up plans were.  She said to me, "Mom, please I am trying to enjoy my wedding!"  I turned to Liz and she handled everything!  We filled up four trucks belonging to friends and family.  Liz that made sure all the leftover food, the kegs of beer, the wine and the decorations was packed up all due to Liz's expert experience.  Steve continued to play music, and KD and Randy continued to dance and enjoy every last minute to their wedding day.  After everything was cleaned up, we still had to wait for the tables and chairs to be picked up.  My feet were aching, I still had to get my mother-in-law (who was visiting from Michigan) home.  I was exhausted, Liz came up to me and said, "Go home.  We will stay until everything is picked up."  I could have kissed her!  I know her and Steven were equally exhausted, but they stayed and handled it for me.  And that is why you hire a wedding planner!I have known Steve and Liz for over 26 years or so.  Steve was the DJ at my wedding 18 years ago.  Liz was not a wedding planner then, but she helped me with the details of my wedding, which were no where as detailed as my daughter's wedding.  They have known KD since she was born. They were so happy to have been an important part of her wedding.  I could not have been more pleased with their help.  They really know what they are doing.  You cannot go wrong with hiring Liz and Steve. I am very grateful and glad to write this review for Steve Chacon Weddings!  Liz & Steve are the consummate professionals and strive to make each event memorable and perfect.  I have known and worked Steve and his team of talented people for many years.  They have done corporate events and private events for me over the years.  Not only does Steve provide quality work, but he is very detail oriented and plans the event very well in advance. Steve Chacon Weddings performed to our expectations, and even exceeded them! His entire staff is always dressed professionally and they are all very courteous to everyone in attendance.  My daughter's quinceañera was a big hit thanks to Steve, Liz, and their entire staff.  Upon our request, Steve was able to play all of our musical playlists, and none of the songs had inappropriate song lyrics.  Additionally, the Photo Booth was also a highlight of the night and there was never a long line.  The props were age appropriate and very sturdy. My Wedding planning went stress free when contracting Liz and Steve , they are very dedicated to the work they do. Me myself am not very organized about party planning so having Liz help me and constantly keeping me updated with planning my wedding was truly a huge help. Not only was she taking care of everything in a professional matter but also made me feel very comfortable as if she was family. Steve gave a very great presentation about his work and also was giving great suggestions as to how he can implement a perfect schedule and have a nice flow during the whole party. I booked Steve Chacon Weddings for their photobooth services for my daughter's Sweet 16 last week. I am so glad I did! I met with Liz to discuss our theme and gave her the color palette. She designed the backdrop for photos exactly what I had in mind. When they set up the photobooth at my party, I was delighted with the variety and the creativity in all the props. I was very impressed with the quality of the scrapbook she had made for all the pictures. The quality of the pictures was so impressive. All my guests complimented on the photobooth and how good they all looked! The camera even captured the highlight and contour of my beautiful guests!! I would definitely hire them for my next event. One thing I am so grateful for, I was busy and Liz called me over and told me I didn't take any photos with my husband, son and daughter. She basically told me to drop what I am doing and take a photo! I cherish that moment and I am so thankful for that. She is a gem! Steve and Liz are true miracle workers, movers, shakers and everything in between! While I was not the bride, I was helping my cousin with her last minute," just moved back to the West Coast, now engaged, and getting married to my Prince"  wedding; she was a busy Physician and I, her cousin with the Public Relations background, who helped with accounts for Fiesta Broadway ( which serves 100s of thousands at a huge DTLA festival) figured, " I got this." Seriously, I along with our other bestie cousin, figured we could manage a LARGE close to 500 people wedding all on our own; no Catholic church booked, no venue booked nothing; no brides dress, no bridesmaids dresses and not to mention opinions of many friends and family - we were seriously getting no where, yet were on a  time crunch for a June wedding. Logically, panic sets in.. now what?! We tried and failed on our own, finally through a good friend heard of Liz and her wedding planning and coordinating magic..then to learn that Steve was also an amazing DJ and MC. It was a miracle and a no brainer! Luckily, the bride was convinced and agreed to secure Liz and Steve for her wedding. I cannot even begin to mention the amount of barriers this pending wedding had from the start! Liz went ABOVE and BEYOND her contracted duties to make sure the wedding actually occurred without a hitch and that a church was secured. She was present from beginning to end; making sure us, the family and more importantly, the bride and groom enjoyed their wedding. Steve was amazing! He and Liz are so in sync, it's the icing on the cake with this duo. He and his partner made sure the dance floor was bumping all night, as we had tons of people from New York who wanted to party.. and that they got! Steve and Liz also added a special touch to the wedding toss by adding a small " bear toss" for the kids, before the bouquet toss .. Liz and her husband Steve made my wedding my dream come true!Let's first start this off with how freaking OCD I am. I myself love to plan parties and do find it hard to ever ask for help while planning/setting up. I was worries that nobody would visualize what I wanted on my big day. Well, I interviewed Liz and Steve to potentially be my wedding coordinator and DJ and boy did they deliever! I have a very unique style and taste in music and they went above and beyond to bring my wedding all together. Liz and Steve had told me they are always going to classes to improve their business and Steve always has the new equipment for his dj set up. My husband and I are busy professionals, with little time to plan for a wedding.
When we first met Steve, we were impressed by his organization and attention to detail. His wife, Liz, was there; and we felt like they truly cared. After one meeting with him, we felt like he had done more for us than our wedding planner! We finally started to feel at ease, and like we were making progress on planning our event. Then we learned that his wife, Liz, is a wedding planner! This was an invaluable decision!
Liz is also exceptionally organized. She is reliable and efficient. As any future bride knows, there are a myriad of details that go into planning your day. Liz was on top of it all. She had a solution to all my concerns. For example, when I couldn’t find someone to do my hair and make-up, she referred me to her niece Nicolle and her friend Nancy. They came to my home and did a trial- and again, I was impressed! We hired them for our wedding and they were able to accommodate 5 bridesmaids, my mother and mother-in-law, as well as myself. They did a professional and great job.

What impressed us about Steve and Liz is that they did not pressure us to sign a contract on our first meeting. He asked us for a wish list and then provided a Proposal that my wife and I were able to review and make a decision without the pressure. At our first meeting, they gave a presentation that actually opened our eyes on things we did not even think about that was needed at our reception..

Liz was our Wedding Consultant and she also officiated our wedding. The Ceremony was personalized and reflected us. Her script touched people in a way that there were tears in the eyes of people that we least expected.

Our vision for our wedding was for our guests to have fun and not be bored. They did just that. Steve gave us a Grand Entrance that represented us. The introductions to all the special dances and events reflected our personality. We wanted un-traditional and that is exactly what we got.

When it came down to the dance, Steve stayed within our song requests and with the combination of his expertise the dance floor was packed all night up to the last song! We did not want it to end! A portion of our reception was bilingual and we loved how it transitioned

We also hired their photo booth; they customized our template by incorporating our engagement picture in it. I highly recommend that you get the scrapbook service. It was so much fun to be able to see all the pictures of our guests having fun and reading the great messages, something we will treasure forever.

I really wanted a monogram but did not know that it was going to work out because the Venue did not have a lot of wall space, however, Steve found the perfect spot over our Sweetheart table. Also, there were so many intimate touches, my Mom passed a year ago and they honored her memory in a beautiful subtle way that was very touching. More...

My husband and I hired Steve and Liz for our wedding this past August 2011 through a family referral. Steve was our DJ and provided the lighting and special effects while Liz was our wedding coordinator. We are so glad that we chose to hire them because these two really do an outstanding job. They are very professional, experienced, and organized. I really don't know what we would have done without them.I totally had the same exact experience as the previous review about them. We used IMP for our reception lighting. Steve did a great job. He was able to create the atmosphere we were looking for. He arrived and set up on time. He designed our custom gobo with our names and that turned out beautiful. It was definately a good touch to the reception decor. We also hired Steve's wife "Liz" which does day of coordination. She was wonderful. She did exactly as we had asked. Was there early and didn't leave until the reception ended and she packed everything up for us and had it ready to load in the car. I especially liked the fact that she does not only work with you the day of, but she starts at least two weeks prior with your arrangements. She was very fairly priced; not like those other coordinators that charge and arm and a leg for this type of service.
