We wanted a night out for NYE and were prepared to pay for the 4 course meal for $80 but the quality of the main entree was just ehh. The appetizers of lobster bisque and scallops were amazing. My steak, which I ordered medium well, was very well done and seasonless and also the asparagus. The service was outstanding and I loved the ambiance. But I think I will stick with brunch only here. Location for dinner pre Arena Stage performance was perfect - just one block walk - and felt safe doing so. Ambiance was lovely, comfortable and chic. Servers were very friendly but appear to be new and a tad inexperienced. We ordered a bottle of red wine and it took forever to arrive because it was in a case that was blocked by diners sitting! When it was opened it was immediately poured (Almost full) into four glasses without letting guest who ordered it taste to be sure it was ok. We told the staff we had a birthday girl early in the evening. Before we were asked if we wanted dessert a kitchen server suddenly delivered A crime brûlée...we sent it back saying we did not order it. The waitress caught him, tried to explain it was a birthday dish and required a candle and that the staff would sing. It was hilarious watching this non-surprise unfold. My family was here from California and we had a lovely brunch. We were greeted right away when we arrived by a very friendly staff and taken to our table right away (even though we were a few minutes early. Our waiter Maroun S was very attentive and we never felt rushed. We started with the Challah French Toast for all of us to share and it was very good and came to the table hot as it should. Two of us had Eggs Chesapeake which was very good, another in our party had Eggs Benedict (and she said that was very good as well, the Breakfast Burrito (huge, really more like a breakfast Chimichanga. My friends and I decided to do our Annual Christmas Brunch there. We stayed for 4 hours laughing, talking and eating. We were 20 mins late to our reservation due to traffic and Station 4 was so accommodating despite having a reservation for 35 coming at the same time. As soon as we were seated, Jessi waited on us promptly asking for our drink order and then coming back to ask to take our food order. She made great suggestions and even helped make special requests come to fruition. The steak and eggs were BOMB, the french toast is GOOD and a lot for 1 person. We drank the French Awakening and the Georgia Tea, the tea is STRONG, and the French Awakening was refreshing. Jessi continued to help us as well as gave us complimentary Mimosa's. We had a table that was a little right to fit 6 people. Once the group next to us left we got and extra table which was nice. I loved my house salad and pepperoni pizza. One person ordered the special which was scallops/jambalaya which was very good. Everyone loved the Mac n cheese as well. This is across the street from Waterfront Metro Station, and only a 5 minute walk from Arena Stage. The three course pre-theatre meals are tasty although the selections are a bit limited. Service was prompt and attentive. Our only criticism relates to the very small tables, which are even more problematic because the entrees are served in over-sized bowls. My wife dropped her knife, and I spent much of my time trying to find space for my coffee cup. (We had asked for a booth before we were seated, but the hostess told us they were reserved for parties larger than 2. Ok, but it was a rainy, midweek night, and it wasn’t crowded). Everything was great except the woman who greeted us at the door, checked off my name, then said nothing further and walked away and never came back. We asked a server to seat us, and he did, at a quiet table by a wall, as requested, but consequently I got an email from OpenTable asking why we missed our reservation! This restaurant is all about location. It is only a few blocks from Arena Stage Theater. The menu is simple, the food good, but not great, so don’t expect a “foodie experience”. Ordered pork chop. When received the pork chop was hot the vegetables were cold. Waiter returned food to the kitchen and order was prepared again, this time vegetables were hot. The pork chop was delicious and the hot vegetables were fine. The restaurant was preparing for a party of forty (the waitstaff was doing the work), tables were dragged and banged.
