Blaire and her team are the people to hire for any type of event coordination. She is focused on ensuring YOUR wedding runs smoothly so anyone else gets disregarded. This was key at my wedding with many family members trying to give their 2 cents. While I was looking for a day of coordinator, I decided to contact Blaire (my best friend used her services for her wedding) just to see what she had to offer. Within 30 minutes of submitting my online information request form Blaire called me. We spoke for about 20 minutes and she immediately gave me some suggestions and background information for the vendors I was currently looking at. That small effort of her reaching out and not simply responding via email with a price list gave her some brownie points. She was actually the only coordinator to do this. After another talk and her very energetic personality, I decided Blaire was the person for the job! Though my husband was not totally fond of Blaire because she scaled down his idea for a backdrop and bar (his idea was kind of over the top), he finally also realized the day prior to our wedding that she was indeed the person to have best handled our wedding and our family! Blaire came out to do a site visit even prior to the 3 months we contracted her for, coordinated all our vendors and ran the show on the day of our wedding! I made all the decoration purchases and trusted her so much I told her “you decide where everything will go, I know you’ll make it look good.” I truly could not have asked for a better outcome. When I first saw our wedding venue, I was amazed at how a simple backyard wedding could look just like a venue we would have paid $$$$$ for. She placed things so perfectly! I was very surprised how she formatted every detail of our timeline to incorporate my dad’s classic car and ensure my father daughter dance was done before the mariachi left for the night. She will even bust a few dance moves along with you and your guests! All my guests loved her energy! WE LOVED BLAIRE! She was totally on her game for our wedding day (10/27/18), we never stressed out and were able to enjoy our wonderful day! Blaire from Sparkles & Vintage is a Godsend to the world of wedding planning! My husband and I knew from the moment we interviewed with Blaire over the phone that we wanted to work with her. She has so much personality and energy and at the same time is super focused, answering all of your questions and taking care of any and all of your concerns. I had so much stress leading up to the wedding but every time I spoke to Blaire she took those worries away. I trusted her 100% to make my wedding beautiful and perfect and she did not disappoint. I also had to fire my florist just a few months before the wedding which was super stressful but Blaire came in and saved the day. I told her what happened and what I was looking for in terms of colors and flowers and she drafted a floral proposal for me and a mock-up of the centerpieces and I was sold. I hired her to do the florals for my wedding and I am so happy I did because they were so beautiful. Blaire was absolutely a dream to work with! My original florist fell through and I reached out to SAV less than a month before my wedding. With a few pictures of ideas, Blaire knew exactly what I wanted and more. Friends and family commented that they had never seen a bouquet like mine before. Originally, we were only looking to hire a month-of planner, but after we met with Blaire, we changed our mind and hired her for partial planning. We had met with 2 other planners before Blaire but her energy and personality won us over - we wanted someone that could make sure the wedding ran smoothly AND the planning to be less stressful for us 2 full time workers. Over the 6 months+ of planning, Blaire helped us with designing our wedding, recommended vendors, and kept up with our budget. We loved the design meeting with MTB rental where we got to see first hand how our reception would look like. Blaire was very quick with responding to emails and texts and kept our inputs in mind. She gave us honest answers and recommendations, resolved our last minute curve balls, and was present and prepared for all vendor meetings; she even pulled off a last minute venue exception 2 weeks prior to the wedding to save us some money! Blair's energy definitely shined through on the day of the wedding. Her and her assistant made sure everything was in order so we could focus on spending time with our closest friends and family, not worrying about paying our vendors or cleaning up. Blaire even jumped in to hype up the dance floor. Our family loved her energy and we even had guests asking about her! Blaire and her team are AMAZING and saved my wedding life. My husband and I live in NYC and got married in LA. Blaire was extremely flexible and patient as my husband and I were working crazy hours on the east coast and supported us in ways that I never knew we would need during this planning process. Unbeknownst to us, our venue underwent a grand opening, and Blaire was there to help me stay calm and design around the surprise paint jobs that caused me to panic as they completely clashed with our original design. The night before our wedding, we experienced obstacles with our venue management that resulted in last minute changes. Blaire and her team made game-time decisions that were executed flawlessly, and left the design looking better than I could have imagined. During the wedding, we experienced some hiccups, but Amanda and Jenn went beyond above and beyond to manage the situation, keep us calm, comfortable, and positive so that we could fully enjoy our day. Blaire and her team are so much of the reason why we were able to have the wedding of our dreams despite the hiccups caused by our venue. I came to Blaire, in a panic two (2) months before the wedding to design, setup, florals, day of coordination, and complete remaining of the wedding planning because of my crazy busy work schedule. Sounds like a lot but we had the big stuff like the venue, photographer, DJ and food. From the moment we meet, she knew exactly what we wanted for the wedding and saw my vision by showing her only a few inspiration photos. I love how she worked incredibly quickly to secure the rentals and accommodating with communication since I was very busy but Blaire gets its done, right and fast! She remained extremely flexible with my husband and myself as our guest count grew. She coordinated with all the vendors making sure all the pressure was taken away from us and ensure the guests would be accommodated. There was a last minute design modification at the venue, which clashed, with our original design and she was able to solve the problem literally overnight. She knew how to calm me down when things appeared as if they were in shambles and manage the issue swiftly. We do not know when the woman sleeps because she responds at all times of the day :) We gave her creative full freedom to design the floral arrangements for the wedding and they exceeded our expectations!!! We are extremely pleased with the service Blaire and her team at Sparkles and Vintage provided us for our special day and highly recommend her for planning, design, floral and day of coordination. I initially decided to work with Blaire because she made me feel more comfortable than anyone else I spoke with. She asked about my family, tried to get a real feel for how I wanted my day to be and for what I would need help with. My fiance and I had a short engagement and while I could handle some of the initial planning myself, I knew I'd need a second hand the month of the wedding...and boy was I right. About a month before the wedding I ended up having an accident and breaking my left ankle, eventually needing surgery about a week later. Of all the things that could go wrong, that wasn't one I was anticipating, but Blaire was completely on top of it. She reached out and offered to come to our house since I was basically unable to leave for a couple weeks due to the surgery. She assured me everything would be ok - and it was! Not only was she a great support in helping to get me excited about my wedding again, she handled all of the month of loose ends, contacting vendors and tracking down some that were hard to get a hold of. Also - Blaire offers services like sign making and rentals that are really helpful and probably not something you want to own forever, and they all looked beautiful. She was a superstar at wrangling friends and family at the rehearsal and group photos the day of the wedding, which is definitely not something you want to have to do yourself, believe me. :) All in all, my wedding was a big success despite not being able to walk, and Blaire was a huge part of that. Hired Blaire and Sparkles + Vintage for a proposal + engagement party. The event was at a private home in Van Nuys, and I was planning from New York City where my fiance and I live. Blaire was AMAZING to work with - she not only made my vision come true but she blew it out of the water. Blaire set up a OUTSTANDING proposal in the front yard with candles, lights, flowers and signs. She then had a perfect step-by-step move from the proposal into the party, where she decked out the backyard with beautiful furniture, an amazing jazz band, KILLER tacos, and more. The home was unrecognizably beautiful, everything was perfectly orchestrated. We could not be happier or more blown away, and I wish I could take any credit for how perfect the day went or how amazing the party was!Blaire and her team are incredibly professional, creative and super sweet! Blaire was in constant communication with me for MONTHS, providing frequent updates and keeping me on budget. On the day of her team was fun, professional and helpful. My mom noted that at the end of a LONG day and night of planning and execution when everyone was exhausted, Blaire could not have been more supportive and friendly to her employees. Hiring SAV was, hands down, one of the best decisions we made for our June 2017 wedding. My now-husband and I definitely had a vision of what we wanted for our wedding, but we both work full-time and it was difficult for us to be able to dedicate time to planning and still manage our normal lives. Blaire (the SAV principal planner) and her team were our saving grace. Blaire listened to our vision and immediately started to propose ideas for us - everything from venues to florists and linen companies. She took our decor ideas helped us to actually create them, even sending us pictures of things she would see while out shopping so that we could consider them. My favorite thing about hiring SAV was that they enabled my husband and I actually ENJOY our wedding. Many times, you'll hear that the bride and groom and so busy at their own wedding that they don't have time to eat or dance or have fun but with SAV, anything that you would normally have to be concerned with is handled for you. If I could give Blaire and her team at Sparkles and Vintage a hundred stars, I would! My now husband and I booked her “Partial Planning” package 6 months before our wedding because we had most of our vendors and our venue already booked.
Hiring Blaire as our wedding planner was the best decision we made in the entire planning process.
From start to finish, Blaire was extremely professional, honest and on top of everything. She handled my very opinionated friends and family like the absolute pro that she is, polite and straightforward. She focused on the wants and needs of the COUPLE (my husband and I) and made sure that our day was everything we dreamed of and much more. If anything went wrong on our wedding day, we didn’t know it because that’s how incredible Blaire is at solving problems and resolving conflict.
Here are just a few of the things that Blaire did for us: painted a custom photobooth backdrop and made specialty décor for our Renaissance-themed wedding; suggested and negotiated a reasonable price with our rock-star DJ, florist and cake baker; and attended Ren-faire and the crafts store with us to brainstorm ideas and give her expert input on projects. She was so helpful every step of the way, from making sure we didn’t waste money on certain elements to calming me down when my family and friends were being impossibly difficult.
