Southwest Total Entertainment is a sister company to Midwest Entertainment and Limousine of Peoria, Illinois that was established in 1993. I started SWTE after relocating to Maricopa, AZ. Southwest Total Entertainment offers our Phoenix Valley clients the benefit of our thirty years of live music and professional DJ expertise and world class customer service.

We had our first NYE party and initially were planning a possible 80’s and 90’s theme for it . But ended up not doing so. However, when Tad knew we were considering a theme 80’s-90’s party he personally had his 80’s-90’s CD’s and DVD original MTV video Footage sound tracks sent down from Chicago for us to play for our NYE party and even brought his DVD player to hook up to our tv. What’s the secret to keeping a party dancing all night long?
I like to let the music do the talking. I try to achieve a good balance of announcing the progession of the party and encouraging guests to dance and participate without talking on the mic just to hear myself talk. With thirty years of experience, success and testimonials under my belt, I believe I had found the right balance. Guests want to have fun, they are just looking for a professional to guide them through the process.
How would you describe your ‘style’?
Depending on the event and the audience, I try to establish a rapport with the guests/audience. For a wedding, I like to work up through the decades, so that all ages are represented. I also work to increase the tempo of the music as the evening progesses. I like to inject a little humor along the way as well!
What do you love most about your job?
I love seeing people dance and have a great time. When I perform live, I love to hear audience members tell me that I certain song that I played takes them back to a special time in their life and brought back great memories. For weddings and corporate events, I love having guests thank me at the end and telling me how much they enjoyed themselves.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have always loved muscic, both as a DJ and a musician. I started out playing DJ music for friends at parties and playing in bands. I just kept going and trying to improve and increase my client base. I worked in the coporate world as a financial advisor for over ten years. I did not wnat to deal with corporate politics any longer so I went full time into the business that I loved in 2005. I have not looked back since!

With over thirty years as a professional DJ and as a muscian/vocalist, I truly believe that my entertainment resume' is more comprehensive and my experience is unmatched by my competition. I am always willing to share my extensive references and have potential clients call myy former clients and colleagues to do their due diligence. I have already established the premier entertainment and limousine service in the Midwest (Midwest Entertainment and Limousine) and am excited to duplicate my efforts in the Phoenix Valley with Southwest Total Entertainment!
