First timer today and with one bite the Smoking Kow food truck has become my new favorite food truck on the planet! The flavors are incredible. Â Today's special was Brisket chili with 2 sides. Holyyyyyy Kow! My coworkers go absolutely NUTS for this place, always trying to guess when the Smoking Kow truck will show up in Rosslyn. I decided to join them for lunch one day to see what all the hype was about and I was not disappointed.They're famous for their 'Mac n Meat' entree, which seemed to me like something I could split into two meals. It was so good I couldn't stop eating and ended up in a bit of a food coma for the second half of the day!I also found it really helpful that they had listed out the different kinds of BBQ sauce they had and what flavors they bring. As someone who's deathly afraid of spice, it makes me nervous when sauces aren't labeled. By having the different sauces clearly labeled I was able to add a healthy amount of their sweet sauce to my pulled chicken on top of delicious mac n cheese.The food itself was great for the price as well. It comes with a slice of bread which is nice if you decide to mop up the extra cheese and BBQ sauce once you're done eating.And maybe my favorite thing about Smoking Kow is the speed at which they prepare the food...no one wants to be waiting outside a food truck for 15 minutes in the freezing cold and wet Feb DC weather. Smoking Kow got us our food (we were in a group of 5) in less than 5 minutes.My only frustration with Smoking Kow is I would like it if they posted what areas their food truck would be in at the beginning of the week so I could plan out which days I would want to get lunch there. Was recommended this place while in the area and it definitely lived up to the reputation given to me as one of the better bbq places in the DC area. Â I got the burnt ends with sides of Mac n cheese and collard greens. Â The burnt ends were solid and had a fantastic crust on them, while also being very juicy with not too much fat attached still. Â The Mac n cheese and collard greens were good too and while I enjoyed their main sauce, it was a little on the sweeter side, which isn't my personal preference, but it was still good. Â My only grievance was that it was a little pricey for one meat and two sides and didn't include a drink. I've been to a lot of food trucks in DC but this is one of my favorites. There are different trucks near my office daily but if this one' s there my choice is made easier. You can't go wrong with any of the meats. I generally get  a combo of brisket and another one on a big pile of mac and cheese. My mouth is watering just writing this review. (Be sure to keep a Tupperware in your desk because you usually get enough for the next day too. I only gave it 4 stars because I eat a lot of BBQ and there is a lot of great BBQ out there . . . . but you can't go wrong stopping here. More...

If you are looking for huge portions of insane BBQ, go find this truck!I ordered the Special which was South Carolina style pulled pork with 2 sides for $10. .. I chose mac and cheese and cornbread. I didn't realize it also comes with a roll so I probably should have gotten cole slaw instead but everything was great. You get so much meat! I judge a BBQ place by its cornbread, you heard me. Sure, the meats have to be good but good cornbread must complement the entree and Smoking Kow' s is pretty good. Wish it was slightly more moist with less butter but had perfect sweetness, graininess, and taste. I do prefer kernels inside cornbread but it's fine that they didn't have it. More...

Just had the 2 meat platter for lunch. I got the pulled pork and the chopped brisket. First and foremost, the BBQ was legit! The mac and cheese was fantastic.
