went last week 12 noon pulled up to drive thru all employees were in the back no customers were in store then 4 customers walk in employees wait on them serve them then take my order( $36. 80) then 2 more people walk in they get waited on and served while I'm still waiting in drive thru watching !!! I watch the guy cut my order box it stack on counter then start cutting buns in half (watched him cut A full pan) finally I blow my horn to get someones attention guy comes to window i ask for my money back and they (2) get mouthy with me tell me my order is right there (still stacked on counter which was my point) got my money back while being told by these 2 that I'm in the wrong ........TELL YOU WHAT I WONT BE IN THE WRONG FOR GOING TO THIS DUMP EVER AGAIN ! AND EVERY SINGLE TIME I HAVE A CONVERSATION WITH ANYONE ABOUT BBQ I WILL TELL THIS STORY !!! More...

The barbecue sauce was really good and not too spicy which was good for me because Im kind of a wimp lol. Menu was easy to read and the staff was super friendly. Might be one of my new favorites!

This place received a bunch of unearned criticism today because of a miscommunication between a business partner and another local business. I myself was led to believe there were insensitive things said about black owned businesses that proved to be demonstrably false. I’ve taken people here for years, as I proudly frequent the area doing community outreach and simply being a BBQ glutton. There’s no other restaurant that cares more about delivering a quality meal to this underrepresented community. It humiliated me to think I’d brought black, white, and Hispanic friends and clients to a place that did not respect their business. I vouched for them multiple times due to its geographical presence and the fact the brisket was always GOOD. It embarrasses me more that I bought into the false narrative about Michael Brian Gooch being racist. If people only knew his values and how much he puts into this community, everyone would be ashamed. But this is a virtuous man who leads by example, not by snippets of conversations or sound bites. It’s not my place to share everything, but I do feel it’s my duty to help promote this business for what it TRULY is: A great joint, run by our community, for our community. Nobody is excluded. I have been a patron of smokies for the last 4 years. the food has gotten better over the years and with the new direction they've been taking and the addition of a highly recommended brisket, the food selections are 100% delicious. they have a roast chicken that is better than any other roast chicken I've ever eaten. if you want true BBQ, I recommend you stop by and talk to the friendly staff. they make you feel right at home and I gladly will return again for another delicious meal. When you are in the Fort Worth area, please stop by Smoky' s. My favorite is the brisket. It is nice and tender, and the meat isn't tough. Love that!

I ordered a chopped brisket sandwich for $8.65 or $9.65, this was some of the toughest meat I've ever ordered. The bread and the sauce was good, but the brisket meat was unsatisfactory, also there was a bunch of fatty pieces as well. That was my first and last visit there. No thank you. My husband came with me, ordered the same sandwich and felt the same way. I wonder if we were given bad cuts of meat or if it had been sitting under the light for too long since we were going through this whole quarantine ordeal. I wish I would've saved my $20. More...
