What a great experience. I'm talking everything from the service to the food to the owner actually coming out to meet us to tell us how much he appreciates our business and coming there. We were with a large group, but they made each of us feel special. The food? OMG! The brisket was off the charts, and the smoked turkey was the exact balance of being perfectly smoked- still moist without tasting like it's not done. Even the sides were exceptional. My husband and I have always loved Smoke, and recently I called Adrian to have them cater 11 Thanksgiving lunches for the Cavender Auto Group. They flawlessly and deliciously catered to over 400 people and there were ZERO complaints. It's hard to get it right when it comes to so many people/palettes, but Smoke nailed it. Very beautiful establishment! It has a elegant feel to it. Plenty of TVs throughout the restaurant playing live sporting events. Our waitress was pretty amazing. She made sure we fully understood what we were ordering, since it was our first time. I can only speak on the Catfish, Deviled Eggs, Mac & Cheese, and Cole Slaw. It was AMAZING! They also made this homemade Tarter sauce, MAN! The manager was probably one of the best managers I have ever dealt with. Very friendly and he made sure we enjoyed our visit. It was good, cant say the BBQ was spot on but mixed with the great service it is hard to complain. I did expect it to be a little better based on the pricing but the place makes up for its oven BBQed food in everyway especially the service. What’s your signature dish?
Here at Smoke BBQ Brew Venue we are renowned for our mouth watering Texas Style Brisket. Ranging from "Lean" to "Marbled" we have perfected the marriage of temperature and time as we let the combination of Oak and Texas Mesquite work its magic on this fantastic cut of beef.
How do you go about creating the perfect menu for your clients?
In order to satisfy our clients we are willing to go above and beyond in the creation and preparation of the menu for their party. We sit down and write out our options and narrow it down to the perfect menu to complete a catering from the drinks and appetizers to the main course and desserts and are willing to work with the options and create a specialized menu. Being a Barbeque restaurant we do specialize in BBQ meat but we also offer a Vegetarian Plate option called our "Bad Hunter".
What do you love most about your job?
What I love about my job is the sheer fact that food brings people together. My main focus is to bring friends, family and all people together to enjoy a delicious rustic meal in a modern environment. I find a great satisfaction in the ability to welcome everyone into our family's arms with good 'ol Texas BBQ.
What inspired you to start your own business?
We created a brand and built a venue for the people with a goal of becoming Downtown SanAntonio’s Premier Event Venue.
