We ordered these for a sweet treat via door dash. Probably one of the best cupcakes I’ve ever had. The cake portion was moist and flavorful. We had an early dinner and wanted to get a sweet treat for later in the evening. Normally, if you go into a bakery of any sort past noon, you are lucky to find any kind of selection at all. Definitely not the case at Smallcakes! We stopped in around 5:30, and we had a full selection to choose from. We bought a half dozen, ($20, a bit steep). I thought to myself if these aren't spectacular we won't be returning. Well, long story short, we'll definitely be back! I've never bought a cupcake from a bakery that tasted this fresh! Visited this cute cupcake and ice cream shop on 7pm Saturday 10/20- I love that they are open later than most cupcake shops! !! Located in a plaza in Gahanna near 101 Beer Kitchen. Stopped in to get a couple of belated birthday cupcakes for a friend. Wow, wow, wow. First off, love the customer service I got today, and yesterday. Being a busy lady and not being able to boil water properly, I kind of waited until last minute to order a one-of-a-kind birthday cake for my husband's 63rd birthday. Of course, I was frantically asking local bakeries if they had the time to make one in such short notice. Amazingly, this company answered my cries of help. Cake was ready next day and was eaten shortly after pick up. Not only was it one of the most moist cake ever, it was so fluffy and perfect under the wonderful butter cream icing. And to top it off. This is the cutest little cupcake shop. Its hidden in a large plaza off N. Hamilton road. Kinda easy to drive right past it. I heard about it on social media and took a look at their pics and decided to check it out. The cupcakes are very large. I couldn't see myself eating more than 1 in a sitting. But they are truly delicious. Very moist and melt in your mouth. The great news is they serve ice cream too. In didnt try the cold stuff but I could tell it pairs nicely with the cupcakes. Oh My God. Boy was I impressed! Stopped in for a quick little dessert and this will now be my go to place! Ordering is very easy to understand with friendly staff helping you the entire way through. I ordered there SMASH, which is a cupcake of your choice split in a cup and two house made small batch scoops of ice cream in between the halves. The flavors I chose were the chocolate caramel drum cupcake with peanut butter cup and salted caramel ice cream. The cupcake was deliciously moist and the ice cream was very creamy. I was dying to go there and sample their amazing cupcakes....and OMG...it did not disappoint. On a recent shopping trip to Home Goods in the Stoneridge Plaza, my son and I stumbled upon Smallcakes Cupcakery and Creamery. I’m so glad we did because the cupcakes were amazing and the vanilla ice cream was so creamy and a perfect match with the cupcakes. We discovered Smallcakes last spring when were living near the area temporarily. We ended up going three times in the first couple of weeks! The cupcakes are so moist and delicious, and the ice cream was amazing. We weren’t expecting much from the ice cream, as it’s called “Smallcakes,” but it was just awesome, and homemade!! What a delightful little place. This bakery offers regular and gluten free cupcake options, as well as their own ice cream, all made in house. I tried a couple of the gluten free cupcake options- chocolate with peanut butter cup frosting, and chocolate with vanilla frosting and sprinkles. Both were delicious. I'm all about buying/supporting local business' however, they didn't really have a unique cupcake flavor that set them apart from their competitors. They are over priced for how small the cupcakes are, I bought a "famous" red velvet cupcake and I honestly felt like I could have bought a four pack of the same cupcakes at Kroger.
