I'm currently taking boxing classes (Wildcat Boxing) with Darby and he is an amazing and understanding coach! There is alot of respect with him and his students. I feel welcomed at classes and definitely recommend him to sharpen your boxing skills or want to learn how to box! He also has a kids kickboxing club. More...

Love this place! Nathan, KT, and Darby are excellent instructors. Their philosophy is simple; every rep should be perfect and they watch you very closely to make sure you're not going to hurt yourself. They modify the workout depending on your limitations. It's like having a personal trainer but in a group class setting. Darby's Boxing and kickboxing class is intense, you leave worn out and energized at the same time. I just attended the kettlebell 101 class with Nathan and it was a super awesome experience. We had a great workout, Nathan corrected our posture and explained the correct technique to avoid any injuries! I will definitely go back!

Took a Boxing Class taught by Coach Darby with the other Wildcats and I had a blast and left drenched in sweat and inspired. The facility is safe and the instructors are patient and you can tell they have a passion for their craft. Great place for anyone looking to get in shape and learn from the best. This is an amazing place to come and train, and I highly recommend checking it out. I trained Krav Maga here for a year before I graduated, and I still come by every time I'm in the area. Nathan definitely knows his stuff. Every technique, he can tell you how and why it works, and when you would use it. The classes flow well too. Exercises early in the class build up to what you learn later, and techniques you learn later in the week reinforce what you learned earlier.Nathan and the other trainers enjoy what they do and that enthusiasm is contagious. You'll work hard because you want to, not because of a drill sergeant trainer like other places have. I leave every class exhausted, but with a smile on my face. I had heard the Kettlebell classes were really intense. I was a little nervous for my first class, but Nathan was really great! Both he and KT help their members ease into the class so you get a genuine workout experience. Not only did I accomplish my fitness goals, but I had fun too. We stopped by Sleeping Tiger Fitness for a quick two-on-one session to help us get lined up on getting more fit. Nathan and KT were warm and welcoming; we spent most of the time working with KT, and we were impressed by the care and knowledge she showed; she really gets it, and really cares that you do too. She was really interested in hearing our objectives, what we were thinking of trying to do, and offered up lots of good information; she listened to all our questions, and had good answers for each.The overall vibe was welcoming too; the folks who came in while we there there seemed friendly too. This place is the real deal!  Instructors are great and Nathan is amazing. The training varies with old and new exercises, keeping it interesting and challenging. I can honestly say that STF and Nathan have changed our lives. We've been going for over five months now to Kettebell and Primal Moves and can't imagine a week going by without coming in at least three times a week. Nathan and KT are fantastic instructors and trainers.  My favorite thing about them is that they are very very detail oriented. I've been to a lot of different gyms, and have hired many different personal trainers, but Nathan and KT have truly impressed me the most with all of their knowledge and pragmatic approach to fitness!  Unlike most trainers who just pay for their certifications, KT and Nathan are most Masters students at CalPoly, studying kinesiology and specializing in physiology, so they really really understand what and why and how the body works!  They've also spent the time to certify themselves in certifications that really matter...not just another brainless crossfit gym!
