This place is one of the best restaurants I've ever eaten at. Great food, great value and service every single time and I'm a frequent flyer.

Why on earth is the house sauce at a Greek place honey mustard?I love this place for the gyros and eat here both at work and outside of work.  I usually select tirokafteri or tzatziki for the gyro sauce, but last time I wanted to try the Skewer's house sauce.  I assumed it would be some kind of Greek dressing or Greek marinade, as that tends to be the second most common sauce to moisten up a gyro or souvlaki next to tzatziki.  Much to my surprise it was honey mustard! My mistake for assuming.  Or maybe I missed it on the menu.  But honey mustard in a gyro was not tasty. I want more! The gyro was excellent! I ordered the gyro wrap with tzatziki sauce, shaved lamb and beef, tirokafteri, and seasoned fries on the side and it all came out to $13 which isn't bad at all. The meat was great, well seasoned and soft. The tzatziki was great and gave the wrap a fresh taste. The tirokafteri was a bit spicy but not extremely and made a great drip for the fries--it did taste like melted feta. The fries weren't too seasoned in my opinion, it was mostly pepper they had so that was the only downside of the plate but other than that I would want to go back and get another one. The wrap was also soft. I had this delivered to me so it was a bit cold when I got it. I can't imagine how amazing it is right when you get it. More...

My husband and I just got takeout for dinner from Skewers 2 Go and loved everything!!! We think that this is the best Greek food we've had in the area, perhaps the we've had anywhere. We got a Chicken Gyro, Lemon Chicken Bowl, and a Skewer Box for tomorrow's lunch. Everything was fresh, of excellent quality, and perfectly seasoned and cooked. It was easy to place an order online and my husband said that they were very friendly when he picked up the order. We'll definitely order again and we'll highly recommend them to others! FYI - They also do catering and I think that their food would be excellent for a catered event. More...

Tried this as something thing different than our usual spots. It’s always a risk trying a new place…it’s usually either terrible or “Eh, at least I’m not hungry anymore. ” Ordered online, food was ready on time. Got the lamb and chicken skewers, fries, salad and falafel. So delicious and filling, saved some for leftovers. The sauces and hummus are perfectly seasoned as well. Definitely recommend. More...

Every time I order from Skewers 2 Go the food is amazing and the customer service is even better!! I made alterations to my order and they accommodated my special requests without any issue. They even wrote a note letting me know they took care of it! The curbside pickup is also very convenient and they always greet you with a smile. As a valued customer, they even threw in a Baklava to show their appreciation! HIGHLY recommend this place!! More...

I recently ordered lamb gyros from here which were pretty good quality.  The only issue that I had was the fact that there were shrimp tails (didn't order shrimp and it was just the tails) in my gyro. Luckily I'm not allergic to seafood and like the taste of shrimp however, it was very off putting to be chewing on those tails and not know if they were from or how they got there. The food is decent quality but mistakes like that could result in a pretty serious mishap. ONE STAR This was our second order and now our last. The first time the baklava was put in the same bag as the hot food turned on its side, all the honey leaked all over the other containers. Food had zero flavor. We figured we would try one more time and get something completely different well things got worse. Snack size portion of Moussaka with zero sauce on it. I nicely asked the guy on the phone to please put in a separate bag this time the baklava and he was extremely rude about it. The food was disgusting and we will never go back. The bill was over 65.00 and you have lost what would have been good customers. Greek food is one of my favorite foods and I have eaten at many Greek restaurants over the years and this by far is the worst Greek food I ever had! More...

Check your receipts! I was overcharged for 2 Baklava desserts. $2.99 each according to the menu, but was charged $13. I called and they did correct it, but the fact that I had to check the receipt and spend time calling them about it is disappointing. The mousaka dinner is a sampler size portion and the food could really use some seasoning and/or sauce. Maybe it was just the Friday crews fault, so if you are going to go, just stay away on Fridays. [MY RATING: 87%]Excellent Mediterranean food, and the best in the area that I've had for a while (cf. my review on the closed Brothers Kouzina). I'm an old-timer, having gone to the old Skewers location in Tewksbury many years ago as well. Their food and service (Logan!) are both still top-notch.Atmosphere (NA): Not much to say because they only do catering and take-out. The "restaurant" is just a vestibule entrance up a flight of (wheelchair-accessible) stairs that leads into a cramped square room that looks and feels like a dentist's office lobby. Don't be put off, though, because they're constantly adding new furnishings: standalone menu items to their small refrigerated grocery stand, a wall menu, and decor. There's a noticeable hustle and bustle feel to the interior since it's a tight space and people are constantly coming in and out to pick up rapid-fire orders, but the addition of chairs and end tables (aforementioned dentist vibe notwithstanding) offers a more comfortable waiting area. Contactless payment is processed by one of the two guys behind the ticket-booth style plexiglass barrier, and you'll probably be out within 5 minutes.Food (8.5/10): I don't think any of the food I've tried here is incredible, but it's really good all-around in terms of the variety of textures and fresh ingredients. Also, portion sizes are solid. However, I do have several noteworthy criticisms: the food is paradoxically often both underseasoned and yet surprisingly salty. Even though the meat in particular usually seems to lack a good sprinkling of salt, something (maybe the visibly salt-encrusted baked pita chips?) almost always makes me uncomfortably parched after a meal here. Additionally, the meat and more so the peppers, onions, tomatoes, and mushrooms that come with the skewers are often charred--it's not beyond rescue nor universal, but it's definitely annoying. If you ask for rarer meat, you also need to be aware that occasionally a few chunks can be so sinewy as to be inedible. Lastly, they really pile on the feta in their salads, so you may want to scoop some of it out before eating. One big favor I always appreciate from them, though, is that they're great about customizing orders over the phone--if you just ask them about swapping items in and out of group/family orders, you can end up enjoying a more well-rounded meal. For example, you sub Greek fries or spinach rice for either half or all of the rice pilaf that usually comes from a skewers platter order. You might also want to sub their fried pita chips for half-and-half fried and unfried/grilled.Hygiene (Outstanding): I can't speak to the bathrooms because there are none there for customers to use as far as I know, but the food has always been cleanly packaged into plastic containers inside a white bag (if it's a larger order). I can't recall having any problems with undercooked food or anything of that sort. Salad greens also all seem to be quite fresh, which is nice! Tomatoes were the only thing that sometimes had some sus blemishes that I would've personally discarded.Price (8/10): The prices here are quite fair--they had to increase their prices on most meat items recently just because the market costs increased, but it would be unfair to put that policy change on them. Even so, the prices for all items are not bad given the quality of what they prepare!Location (4/10): It's quite hard to find the restaurant as it's squished into an industrial park. There's a banner outside (at least last time I was there), so you'll hopefully see it once you pull into the plaza. The lot is shared among a bunch of buildings and there isn't much space because it's quite narrow, but I've never had problems with parking because people only come and go for quickly serviced pickup orders.Service (Exceptional): The staff who I've met so far have all been very nice and accommodating. They've been willing to go the extra mile to put together customized orders and clearly care about providing good customer service. When I called them up about a missing salad once, they were deeply apologetic and made sure to add it on as a complimentary item in our next visit.Overall: Some of the best Mediterranean food on the North Shore outside of the city.Recommended dishes:- Falafel- Skewers platter (lamb, pork, and/or beef)- Spinach rice (a little watery, but it's spinach after all)- Ekmek Kataifi (cold, fluffy, light, and refreshing--if just a bit too sweet--dessert)- Creamy house vinaigrette dressing (I believe they give you ranch if you don't specify. I will also note that the two look and smell very similar, so don't be too sure you got the wrong one until you taste it.)Dishes to avoid:- Chicken skewers (noticeably drier compared to the other meat options just because it's white meat chicken, but it is now the slightly cheaper protein option)- Rice pilaf (doesn't really taste like much but does come with thin lemon slices, if that's your thing) More...

I was so bummed when I found out their Tewksbury location had closed, but so so glad to find that they opened a new place in Woburn. The menu seems to have been streamlined and they have added a few more items/desserts to the menu. Love the new place but mind you it is take out/catering/delivery only. I was so giddy when I went in and literally wanted to order everything from the menu. Even though their location and menu has changed, what has not changed is the taste. The salad was super fresh and so was their hummus. The fresh fries were decent but their falafel was tasty. My husband opted for their traditional gyro meat and we both loved it. He also had a side of a lamb skewer ($6) and liked the taste. The meat was tender and had veggies on the skewer as well. Now, what has not changed is their tradition of messing up the order. At least at the old place, they would forget a small item or so, but this time they gave us something different. My husband ordered Gyro Wrap but was given Greek street Box. I ordered Greek street box with rice but was given french fries instead. But either ways the food was good and we are looking forward to trying a few other dishes in the next couple of weeks. Keeping our fingers crossed that next time they give us what we actually order. But all in all, a good quality meal at good prices!! Must try!!! More...

I was so glad when this place opened close to my office, as there hadn't been anywhere close to get good falafel. This place is takeout or delivery only, and they also do catering. I've gotten lunch there twice (so far):1. Falafel gyro with hummus and regular fries inside: the individual components were all fine. The pita was soft and tasty, falafel had good flavor, lettuce and tomato were fresh, hummus was tasty, but as a sandwich it was so dry. If I get this again I'd get it with their delicious tzatziki instead, and maybe get some extra on the side. The fries were tasty and not soggy.2. Falafel mezze: I liked this a lot better. Several perfectly cooked falafels on a bed of mixed greens and tomatoes, with a side of hummus and a side of tzatziki. It had a lighter, fresher feel that I prefer in a lunch item.Obviously, they do a number of meat/seafood skewers. I haven't tried those because I'm a vegetarian, but a couple of my co-workers said that they were great. In addition, there are various weekly specials, salads, soups, and Greek sweets. They sell a variety of items in larger sizes to take home, too, like their amazing fried pita chips. I'll be back. More...

Ive been to Skewers 3 times in the past 2 months. Each time has been consistent with the first. I tried 1st through Uber Eats and was so surprised by them. It was honestly the best take out since Covid. I reached out to the owners directly into compliment them. Everything was packed with care, big portions, fresh food and the flavors are amazing. The feta dip is so good and comes with enough pita and veggies to serve 4. I've ordered the lemon chicken twice and the Mediterranean salad twice. It's now my go to Friday Take out. Everything is so fresh, quick & healthy! They also have specials that aren't on the website but you can call and ask about. Highly recommend Skewers! More...
