I've always been suspicious of chiropractors as being very much "hocus pocus." However, the pain in my right shoulder and persistent numbness in my thumb and first two fingers that were exacerbated by a DIY project requiring lots of hammering led me to give it a shot. Not knowing anyone locally who could recommend one, I turned to Yelp and found Dr. Silverman. Super glad I did. I'm more of a traditional western medicine devotee so this was a different experience. For those of you who are also unfamiliar with chiropractors, I'll describe my experience thus far. At the first appointment, Dr. Silverman took me into her office and did a really thorough interview and reviewed my general health. That part alone was more thorough and attentive than pretty much every physician's appointment I've ever had including specialists. From there, she took standing X-rays of my neck from 3 or 4 different aspects and then discussed what she saw. At that point I'm still a skeptic, but waiting to see what's next. I was really pleased to hear her say that she suggested taking a conservative approach to treatment. She asked if I wanted to proceed (which was somewhat shocking since physicians usually just tell you what they're going to do - there's no asking involved) and I agreed so she took me into a treatment room and applied some electrical stimulators to the muscles in my neck and shoulders and a heat pad. That was all really nice, but the magic came when she came in to do the actual adjustment. To my utter surprise, I felt instantaneously better - the muscle spasm released and the feeling I'd been having that I just couldn't turn my neck the way I wanted was relieved. I'm also able to sleep through the night now - woohoo!!Needless to say, I'm sold. My only regret is that I'll only be in the area for another week so I won't be able to continue to see her. More...

My regular chiropractor was closed and on the day I woke up with my left shoulder in so much pain I couldn't move it. They got me in right away, did adjustments and treatments to deal with the pain and diagnosed bursitis. Within three days I was cured.

I was seriously thinking about having surgery on my lower back before I met Dr. Silverman. My pain was debilitating to the point I couldn't walk at times. At around the same time I was starting to develop neck and shoulder pain due to my office work. After just a few sessions with her I began feeling better and had lesser episodes of chronic pain. I can sleep better now, and able to do the things I like. She takes most main medical insurances, and for a small copay you can get relief or get rid of your pain entirely. Dr Silverman have probably saved me thousands of dollars from regular medical office visits and surgery. She is very knowledgeable and have great equipment. I have been seeing Dr. Robin Silverman for years. Each time I go, I feel like a completely new person! My shoulder and upper back used to be so painful that I would have to stay in bed all day.
