I have been to a lot of dog trainers around Salt Lake for various reasons and Laurie is by far the most knowledgeable and great at giving useful and constructive feedback. I appreciate all the hard work she puts into learning and understanding dog behaviors. I feel lucky to have found a trainer that uses research and science to back her methodology that makes sense to me. In other words, I don’t have a feeling when I go to her sessions “oh that seems weird or should I really be doing this to my dog.. I guess I should because a trainer says so”. I feel comfortable bringing my dog there and trusting that I won’t do anything wrong “because the trainer says so” which I have done with other trainers. That said, I would refer my friends only to Laurie and won’t experiment with other trainers when I get my new puppy (Picture just for fun since we've done Rally at Side by Side) More...

We just finished the Dog Stars class with our 8 month old puppy and the class was fantastic! All of the trainers we worked with were very knowledgeable and helpful. This place is great, they worked with us to curb all of the behaviors we were wanting to correct. They teach you how to teach your dog, so we have been able to expand on what we learned there. Highly recommend

We took a nose work course with our poodle here. We had no experience doing nose work but we wanted to do something fun with our dog that he would love. Each class had different challenges. Laurie even took time to research the organization rules since we were planning to do a trial in an organization she hadn't gone through with her own dogs. She was able to answer our questions about what to expect. We went to the trail and he past! We love the relationship we have with our dog. We feel confident that when we go to Skye's Dog Training, we will never be advised to do anything that could harm that relationship. More...

Laurie is a great and knowledgeable trainer. My dog Bowie and I met her by doing the free puppy training class she offered and now we're continuing his training and it's one of the best things you can do for your dog! I like her approach to training.
