After working in the industry for 12 years, I decided it was time to run my own flagship.

If you're used to using low-cost tax preparation software, be aware that even though they may claim to provide "audit protection," the only thing they guarantee is that the math is correct. If you enter a number incorrectly, they won't point out the error. With a live tax preparer, you're getting someone who will stand behind you no matter what. I may be more expensive than Turbo Tax, but you've basically hired your own tax consultant for a year. You can call me any time and ask me anything!

If you normally go with a CPA, you should know that not all CPAs are tax experts. I like to compare it to doctors and dentists. CPAs are like doctors. They have a wide range of knowledge about lots of things. Some specialize in specific areas, some are "general practitioners." A registered Licensed Tax Consultant such as myself is like a dentist. I am much less expensive than almost any CPA you will find, and unless the CPA is specifically a tax accountant, I may be far more qualified for the job. Now, there are a lot of things I can't do, since I'm not a CPA, but I will always let you know when you need to hire a different professional for the job.
