Shayne is truly amazing. She is very thorough and is truly on your side. She makes sure that everything is accounted for and accurate. We received a notice in the mail regarding one of our children's returns, asking for us to complete additional forms. As we usually do our personal returns through TurboTax, I was really at a loss for who to contact. So, I looked to Yelp and Google. I reached out and left messages with a handful of CPAs. It must have been fate and pure professionalism, because Shayne was the only one who called me back! I did speak to one other rude CPA from another firm who wouldn't waste his time with something so small. Shayne was exyremely pleasant, easy to work with, accurate, reasonable, and had everything completed while we waited in about an hour. I've had my taxes prepared by Shayne for the last 6+ years, and I would not think to work with anyone else. In fact, after moving to back to the Washington DC area two years ago, I did, but was very unhappy with the service I received. I asked Shayne if she could refer me to someone in the area...happily I learned she is able to prepare taxes in other states as well (I initially assumed she could not). Shayne is my hero!!! Actually though, I had problems with my taxes for years due to identity theft, re-filling, etc. There were two years where the IRS did not even issue my returns which amounted to about $8,000. I went to Shayne after seeing her great reviews on Yelp and I have yet to be disappointed. Within 6 months she got me the money the IRS had owed me for almost 2 years. Now it's been almost 3 years that I have worked with Shayne and she just helped me set up my llc for my own business, and get my book keeping and payroll in order. Shayne is absolutely wonderful to work with. I met Shayne through a referral from a friend who had done a ton of research to find the right accountant for her business. After switching from being a W2 employee to 1099 I was at a loss with how to approach my taxes. Shayne was incredibly patient, fast, and efficient when it came to completing my taxes. She is incredibly well versed and will make sure you don't miss any deductions and that you are good to go with your tax payment! I am already looking forward to working with her again on 2016. This was my first year with Shayne as my CPA, and I'm happy with her. She kept things very simple (which is all I really want), and she was quick to respond to any questions I had. I was also glad to see that she uses some efficient online platforms for communicating and dealing with documents, rather than having to run back and forth piking up/dropping off paperwork. Just moved here from Washington state. Usually do my own taxes but had a very unusual (for us) year with sale of a home, transfer of rental property, charitable donation of real property, change in income due to retirement and a bunch of other stuff. Wanted to do some strategic planning before tax year ended.Found Shayne here on Yelp, never having been a client before. Very efficient appointment scheduling. We spent an extremely productive hour looking at different scenarios and "what if'ing" ideas. Shayne did an excellent job evaluating my situation and responding to my inquiries. Coming from Atlanta, I had been paying over a grand a year [in addition to bookkeeping service fees] for my partnership LLC and married jointly 1040. After losing my job and finding myself out a monthly cash flow equal to my previous accountant's fee, there was no way I could afford to keep them. So I found Shayne, and I am thrilled to be working with her.Besides working with my budget [including the timing I outlined in which I can pay], she also was very informative about my actual return. Her assistant set up an appointment and I got to meet her face to face [something I never was able to do with my previous accountant] and she went over our whole thing right then and there. So we had a ball park figure when we left her office, which really took a weight off my shoulders. I had been stressed about my return for months, but in a matter of minutes Shayne figured it out.She also informed me on how to pay [I never had owed before], where to send and everything. She sent in my paper work for me, including the one that had to be sent on paper in the mail.Her fee was a third of what I was used to paying, so I am stoked to have some financial security again. I will be working with her from now on! I highly recommend her, especially to small time business owners or partnerships.
