FIVE GIGANTIC STARS!!! I am so beyond grateful to have found this incredibly delicious and remarkably ethical restaurant!! ! Shayna B’s came out to the Stonington Farmer’s Market and my husband and I would get her cinnamon rolls as we strolled the market, it really kept us going to the markets! Then one day we went and they weren’t there! It was only after that that I realized they had been coming in from Old Saybrook. So, that same day I gave them a call and ordered 6 baguettes, 6 bagels, 6 cinnamon rolls (all GF and V). They put them aside for me (some of which she baked for me THAT DAY!) and I drove out to pick everything up. I told the owner how grateful I am to her for this wonderful service and she gave me a great big hug!! I’ve been going about once a month to stock up and freeze everything and it’s my most favorite drive.Being so gut-sensitive it’s taken me a lot of trial and error to find what my body will tolerate. There is nothing at Shayna B’s that my body doesn’t absolutely LOVE. I can’t thank you enough. Having these delicious treats brings such a degree of comfort, warmth and love into my life that I thought might have been lost due to my intolerances. The food was delicious, but the menu is small and changes every day. We went there because my husband has Hashimoto's, a thyroid disorder, and so his diet is incredibly restrictive. Amazing! Being a Celiac who can handle about 64 ppm of exposure before I notice it I can’t eat anywhere unless it’s a dedicated facility. Shayna B’s is not only dedicated gluten free but it does one better and is lactose free as well. Tons of amazing vegan options, eat in or to go. I always grab a bite and take some delicious treats home. Have been coming in since they opened, have been back many times and will continue to frequent this spot. There are several reasons to visit Shayna B’s! The aroma of freshly baked breads and sweets fills the air of this cheerful cafe on Main Street. I am in love with the miniature bundt cakes with crumb topping but everything is so delicious!
