Shelly Potvin and Mike Sutton are the only people that we call when we're thinking about making a transaction.  They are the people that we trust the most.  Shelly knows this area better than anyone.  When we first approached her about a possible move out of the area, she worked tirelessly interviewing other agents out of state.  When it became time to list our house, we shared with her that it was our wish to complete this transaction "off market." She warned us to be careful and shared the reasons we might want to consider going on MLS but assured us that she understood our perspective and respected our choice.  We gave them the keys to our house and went on a short trip.  When we came back, we had multiple offers scheduled to present.  Mike and Shelly comforted us throughout all of it.  Anytime we had a concern, they were at our house within minutes.  Mike had an immediate solution anytime we had a problem.  It was extraordinary.  They literally dropped everything anytime we called for help. Taylor - the honest realtor! It took us almost 6 months to find our dream house in our dream location. Unlike some other realtors we have come across, he was never pushy and he was honest to point out all the potential issue with some of the houses we initially liked. We used to get responses from him almost instantly, even when we texted / emailed him at midnight. He 'd give us enough data points to arrive at a price for every property and his guesstimates would always be pretty close to the sale price! Stop reading and go reach out to Taylor already !! He is by far the absolute best there is out there and I say this after having dealt with several realtors in person. Look, you really need a good friend as a realtor especially in the bay area and Taylor is someone who genuinely tries to be one. He is honest, knows how to work through any situation - good or bad, is a great listener and is always available to help you. It's been a little more than a year since we bought with Taylor but to this day, he is lightening quick to respond to our texts or questions whether we are asking something about the house, asking for references for general house work or just saying a Hi. Karen Izzo and Rebecca Smith did an excellent job of selling my "far off the beaten path"Los Gatos/Santa Cruz mountains home for over asking in just three weeks.  They complement one another perfectly and had a ready network of other helpful people, including Nicola the staging expert and a talented photographer. Together they maximized the value of my home, even while my family continued to live there.  The buy/sell and moving process is inherently stressful, but the transaction was very smooth.  They negotiated swiftly and wisely, worked seamlessly with the buyer's agent, were very responsive, and gave me smart advice about appropriate disclosures and clean offers.  I am a picky professional and they exceeded my expectations.  Very responsive, great attention to detail.  I already knew of Rebecca, but this was my first intro to Karen, who is as savvy as an attorney but also has a sense of humor.  Great duo! I've never written any review on Yelp, but felt that I must do this for Taylor. We've completed a successful home purchase with Taylor as our real estate agent. Taylor was knowledgeable, efficient, communicative and supportive during the whole home buying process. When it came to preparing an offer, Taylor understood what a home's actual market price was and how to package a strong offer. That didn't necessarily mean offering the most money, but showing seller that we were capable buyers with a solid financial history and an agent that is capable of getting the job done. When it came to negotiation, this was where Taylor's core strengths and skills shined. On the offer reviewing day, Taylor worked tirelessly behind the scenes, discussed with seller agent until he could get us the house, right at mid-night.Taylor didn't stop here. While we were waiting the mortgage to be processed, Taylor met us at the house and let us measure things so that we could prepare our remodelling early. During the whole process, Taylor was very reachable via text/phone call. He always gave us timely updates and got our answers fast. His average reponse time was within minutes, even at late night!Taylor impressed us over and over again. I could go on with countless examples. We really enjoyed working with Taylor. After 3-4 years of trying to buy in our dream location, Rivermark, my husband and I finally landed our house after working with Taylor. We were working with a real estate agent friend but he encouraged us to try another route because the market was so competitive. We were referred to Taylor and decided to put all our eggs in one basket and work with him for this shot at Rivermark. He knew of a property coming soon and had us check it out before the open house so we had a bit of an advantage on having extra time to map out our offer and docs before the open house even happened. The owners wanted to wait til all the offers were in though so it was still anyones game. And of course, when it rains, it pours. We were dealing with this, my brand new job and having to be in NY with the worst flu ever, a death of a close friend, my dog diagnosed with terminal liver cancer and Taylor's newborn was due any day! Even through all the chaos the process was so seamless it felt as though no chaos was happening cause it was super smooth. He sent docs we could sign digitally, we texted back and forth every time he had an update, and hopped on the phone when necessary; all this while his baby came into the world! The day of the offers being reviewed, we weren't even the highest offer and there were other all cash offers, but Taylor assured us we were a strong offer. When it came down to final negotiations, I wanted to go all in and offer more but Taylor advised we could likely get it for less so we followed his lead. Although we were not the highest offer nor an all cash offer, Taylor presented us as the strongest offer and after 4 years, we finally got our offer accepted! We have no doubt we wouldn't have been able to do it without Taylor and feel so lucky to have met him. Usually, that's about as far as the real estate agent relationship goes (I had an agent when I bought a condo previously and from my experience, that's the extent of the relationship). With Taylor, it was so beyond that. While the loan was being processed, he mer us at the house to let us measure things, he got all the comps for the appraisal to get it as high as possible and offered to get food for the Appraiser just to get on his good side, when I caught a leak during the walk through, Taylor paid for it to be fixed out of his own pocket; he goes above and beyond. I have very high expectations so I'm even surprised he surpassed them lol I joked around earlier in the process that I wanted a big red bow when we get the house. The day we got our keys, without fail, there was a big red bow welcoming us home. I come to find out later that Taylor went and bought all the materials, watched YouTube videos on how to put up the bow and did it himself! I was floored. It looked like it was done by a professional! There's so much more Taylor went above and beyond that I've told him before - we just can't thank him enough. We truly found a trusted agent and a wonderful, good hearted friend. The reason it took longer to write the review was cause I was saving this review for my 499th yelp review. He's seriously deserving of me raving on and on about him. Taylor Taylor Taylor! There's so much great things I can say about him. My husband and I were on the search for our first home. After meeting a realtor that we were not interested at all we decided to attend open houses on our own. Best decision ever! That's where we met Taylor. He was actually showing the home we went to look at. Although that home wasn't for us, Taylor was! We had such a great connection with him, as if he was a long lost friend of ours. He was so genuine you can just see he's there to help you and wants nothing but the best for you. My husband and I decided to call Taylor the following day to see if would work with us in finding our dream home. We were able to sit down with Taylor and let him know what exactly were our must haves and wants in a home and price point. Taylor was always on top of everything. Here it is 3 years later and now Michael Adams just sold my house. I had the same great experience that I had when he and Tim sold my parents' townhouse 3 years ago! Where do I even start with C.T.? He has been so helpful through this entire process. We have worked with C.T. for a little over a year and his patience and expertise were amazing. Michael did an outstanding job helping us sell our Mountain View single family home in early 2017. He got us a strong price, which in this market might be a given but not for our property. Michael advised us on all aspects of preparing the house for sale, on how to get the right listing price and set expectations at each step.Much more important for me giving a 5 star rating is how much work Michael put in to the job. There are so much easily accessible data to MLS listings these days, so I wanted a realtor that would go beyond what these offered, and would negotiate a winning deal in the absurdly competitive Silicon Valley market. DOUGLAS MARSHALLThis was the best experience! I worked with Douglas Marshall on buying my new home...my first home.  I met Douglas while out doing my own searching around the area I wanted to purchase. I was immediately impressed with his vast knowledge of the industry and warm demeanor. He was showing a house well above my budget, but he did not scoff or refer me elsewhere when I asked if would be interested in assisting someone in my budget. Not only did he not turn me away, but he welcomed my intention to work with him and enthusiastically agreed.He was quick to set up time with me to review questions I had and to offer suggestions of questions I hadn't thought to ask. He was thoughtful in his approach and thorough in his line of questions to me to make sure he helped me find " just what I was looking for." During my search, I would regularly send him listings I was interested in and he would go out himself to take a look to see if it met my expectation. I felt confident that he knew just what I was looking for and trusted his overview. This saved me a great deal of time on an already constrained time budget- my line of work does not offer a lot of extra time to go look at houses. He also always had creative solutions to things that might not have met my desires exactly, but could be modified.Throughout the process Douglas was patient, zealous, and meticulous in his work. He was always clear in his directions of documents I needed to have for an offer and we were always among the top few who had the documents appropriately together as the seller/listing agent had requested. It became quickly evident during my many offers that many people submit offers with only partial requested documentation. Douglas's fine attention to detail put me in front of multiple offers simply because we had all the paperwork the seller was requesting. It occasionally even put me in front of bidders offering more money than me. Douglas is the kind of guy who makes you feel like you are his only client. I never felt like I was competing for his time, and he was always readily available to assist, even when on his own personal time. He always answered my phone calls, emails, text...and there were many. I didn't feel pressured to ever make a decision I wasn't comfortable with. Douglas consistently provided me all scenarios or options transparently and made reasonable arguments for all sides to assist me in making a decision. He offered his extensive experience in the field, which helped tremendously-- especially for a new buyer.When it was time to close, he maintained his meticulous attention to detail. He took down my every concern and question during the walk through and immediately followed up on each item.  Further, he went above and beyond taking care of one item personally.  It became clear that one of my requests was not able to be met, and he personally took care of it, financially, in order to rectify the problem. I was more than impressed with his desire to make sure his client was satisfied.He attended the closing paperwork signing, which is not mandatory of the realtor. I was grateful for his attendance. I am a single woman, buying my first home, with a million questions...and here I was now sitting down with a woman I had never met signing a stack of papers that I wasn't sure we'd ever get through. Mike was a great realtor who helped us find our dream home. He always made himself available. One time he met us really late at his office when we were working long hours at our own jobs and couldn't meet during regular business hours. He was quick to respond to texts/emails and would always pick up the phone when we needed it. We also appreciated his experience as a contractor as he was able to point out structural flaws with the homes we were looking at to ensure we weren't buying something that would end up being a money pit with problems. Taylor was very resourceful and helpful when it came to purchasing my property in Santa Clara. He really went the extra mile to make sure that the real estate transaction went smoothly and that I was comfortable with what was happening every step of the way. Though this wasn't my first home purchase and I knew how the process generally went, he was always ready to answer any questions or go find the answers.
