We went looking for a new family member and the staff were so helpful. We took our time and introduced GeddyLee FKA Hadley to our mango girl, they had plenty of play time together and Nate was very helpful to ensure the kids got along.

We adopted an adult cat from this shelter today. We were really impressed with the enclosures the cats were kept in and how clean it was. The adoption counselor was very nice, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend this shelter if you’re looking for a new addition to your family. More...

I drive 55 miles each way, once a week, because this is the only dog park my dog feels comfortable in. He's climbed out of our local one twice which was a scare, and he doesn't like the smaller ones as I think he feels a little too enclosed. Here, he will run and even play without any anxiety. I think the park is seven acres; the pathway around the perimeter is 2/3 of a mile but you can go and walk pretty much anywhere within that seven acres. I don't worry about my dog running off because the fences are very well maintained so he can't go far. It's well worth the drive. https://youtu.be/LD3CWO_FyD4 More...

I absolutely do not recommend this shelter. We decided to adopt an older dog to give him a good home, we met Teo the Siberian husky 7 years old, was told he had bit a man coming into the house before so be careful around men coming into home, but was told Teo was good with children (very important because I have 4) and was not aggressive and was super sweet. We decided to take the chance with Teo because he was very well behaved on meeting him, however his demeanor change at the house and he bit my 2 year old and myself unprovoked. He was not touched at that moment and he gave no warning he just attacked my daughter. We both had to get stitches. After contacting the shelter and letting them know animal control had Teo due to that incident, I felt like the shelter was unconcerned and treated it like it was nothing. After signing a paper to surrender the dog back to the shelter I learned that Teo would be returned to shelter so they can monitor his behavior and possibly put him in a new home. Unacceptable. They were not helpful at all with explaining return process or the adoption fee. Very rude service. I literally paid to have my daughter an I bitten and a visit to the ER. Yes a chance while adopting any dog. But the shelter should at least have better manners. Be careful if you come across this dog being adopted out in the future, very loving an sweet, but not to be trusted for a second, snapped without reason. Do not trust. More...
